Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another trail cleared

Sunset yesterday,
it was odd to see because it was raining out!
Drove the jeep to town again this morning and started
walking at 6:45.
It was 51 degrees and cloudy.
Sunrise 7:20

Saw 7 deer come out of the corn field while I was driving to town
and had to stop for a rabbit that ran across the street.
Walked up and town the main street in town and then along the
side roads.
Went around the ball park loop and then headed through town
again and over to and around both cemeteries.

These two pictures I took up by the cemetery on the hill.

Haven't see the Canada Geese for quite a while but saw these
this morning flying high up in the sky.

Walked down the hill from the cemetery to the jeep parked
by the pond.
When I got back to the jeep,
Kathy's car was parked next to it, but I didn't see her.

Walked 6 miles
Found a penny
 🍁     ☁️     🍂

We did eat a couple of slices of the English Muffin Loaves
I made yesterday for breakfast.
Had them with butter and raspberry jam.
Thinking about breakfast while I was walking made me hungry!!

We spent most of the day outside and cleared another trail.
We call this one The Connector because it connects two other trails.
We made it wide enough for the ATV.
Cut down some small trees, picked up brush and limbs and
cut down quite a few sticker bushes.

When we got done with that Ken went to another trail and
trimmed the weeds so it was passable again.

I wanted to see how long a walk I could take along the trails
so I went back to the house to start from there to see.
I was pleased to find that it was a 2 mile walk.
It was slower going than a morning walk because of the uneven surface
walking in the woods.
Sure is a nice walk though.
And how cool to be able to walk two miles all in your back yard.

Once I got back to the house I walked back to where Ken
was working.  He was ready to quit for the day.
He drove the ATV back to the house and I walked back.
That took my 2 mile walk to 3 miles this afternoon.

Since we didn't have our pizza yesterday,
we decided to have some for supper today.
Not at Brenda's though, we got a thick crust pizza from Little Caesar's.

It's been a good work day and now I'm ready
to do a little reading and making some more weave-it squares.
Should be done with the baby blanket by the end of the week.

Hope your day was a happy one.

Another beautiful leaf... You’ll be able to completely self-sufficient out there on your trails. ☺️ In snowy weather, you might prefer walking/hiking there. Too bad you missed Kathy especially since she parked beside you. Your English muffin Bread sounds sooo yummy.

Seems to me that walking in your own back yard would be very enjoyable. It also looks quite sheltered.

That last shot of the leave is a beauty, and so love the morning shot. How nice that you can walk that much in your own back yard!

Those geese better be flying south! I think my last little hummingbird left out today. Your trails look a lot like mine except there are lots more leaves already covering the ground.

Hello,

Pretty sunset. Love the geese flying and the leaf is pretty. You will have a nice place to walk there, when your trail clearing is done. Wishing you a great day!

It must be enjoyable to have your own wooded trail to walk on, it's pretty. Another pretty leaf to share, nice!
Have a wonderful day.

I love the pink sunset sky. That will be nice to have your very own trail. We walk on the protected wetlands behind our house. Even though it isn't ours it kind of feels like it is.
I think I need to make some English muffin bread. It makes great toast.

Hooray for the penny.

The Canada geese are probably making their way over here. Has that dog been sold yet?

God bless.
