A mix of sun and clouds this morning, 65 degrees,
and a bit windy on my walk.
Walked down, the hill, and up another to town.
Went to the post office to drop off some mail,
continued to the ball park and walked around that loop.
Back to the main road in town.
Turned right up ahead,
and walked down the back road.
This is the back of the bakery. There was a brick building sitting behind it,
but has just been taken down and now there is a parking lot out back.
Continued on down the street to the lower cemetery.
A walk around there and then back home.
This time walking down the hill and then up another.
Today was the day for chipmunks, saw a least 6 all along my walk.
A bit warm out there today and by the time I got home my shirt was
soaked. Would have welcomed a little rain shower!
Ken was sitting on the porch with his cup of coffee
when I walked up the driveway.
I sat outside with him and before long the breeze cooled me off.

Wasn't going to post a picture of the stone bridge till it was completely
finished but took this one today of Ken driving the ATV over it
for the first time.
He went right over with no problem at all.
The whole area needs some prettying up and that may take a while
and will take a picture then too.
Ken spent some time in the kitchen today.
Will tell you about it tomorrow!
We worked outside, some in the front and some in the back.
Had a sunny but windy day for most of the day but a
thunderstorm came by in the middle of the afternoon.

Rose - Yes, like the house hidden in the trees. It is great living in the woods.
Vee - I was the first to walk across the bridge and then we both walked over together.
Aritha - I think the geese and babies are 'cute' too.
Eileen - Yes, they are white flowers. Here's a picture of the whole bush/tree. Tom says it is called Fringe Tree.

Good job on the stone bridge!
The bridge looks well built and sturdy.
...that fringe tree is a beauty.
At first glance I thought your heading said Ken Drives over the Edge. I'm glad it was the stone bridge not any edge!
The bridge looks great, and I do like the Fringe Tree bush.
All the best Jan
a sweet, serene village...love the yellow flowers...the bridge-- is it strong enough??
Wow! That is a fine looking stone bridge! Love it. Glad it's holding up.
That bridge is so awesome! It really looks good. I like seeing the photos of where you walk...looks like a quiet little town. And I love the road you start out on! I figured you loved living in the woods....just so peaceful.
Awesome!! Such a pretty bridge!!! Love it.

The stone bridge is pretty nifty and great looking. Well done! So you both have had your firsts...you walked across first and Ken drove across first. The bakery looks as if it has a nice set-up. It must be doing well.
Hello,
The Stone bridge looks beautiful, well done. Wonderful photos and thanks for sharing the Fringe Tree. It is new to me! Wishing you a happy day!
Great pictures and wow that bridge is a test of going over not to go over the edge and PLUNK..
The stone bridge is beautiful! You've both worked so hard to make things nice at your new home! Enjoy your day. It's too hot to walk here today! Boohoo! Hugs!
The stone bridge is so beautiful, you both are so talented, I love how you and Ken work so well together, that is how it is with my dh and I. I can only imagine the aroma as you walk around the bakery! Your temps. seem so wonderful, we have been under a heat and drought wave, temps. will be near 100 today with high humidity. Thank you for sharing your days and your peaceful life, I always enjoy walking with you, and like you I love living in and around the woods. Have a blessed day,
Sue
Wow...that is a very cool bridge...Ken did a great job!
You guys are amazing. Stone bridge building! Is there anything you can't do?
That is one strong bridge. Well done.
God bless.
What a beautiful stone bridge! And functional too!
Someone showed me a picture of a lowes truck that fell after a tiny wooden residential bridge collapsed.
What a mess to be stuck in.
