Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Morning skies

Left at 7:00 this morning.
I will be walking earlier an earlier as it gets lighter till once
again I'm leaving at 6:30.
It was 31 degrees and cloudy.
All these sky pictures were taken this morning while I was walking.

Saw all the usual deer as I walked down my street.

I walked to town and around town,
made a loop around the lower cemetery
and then walked back home again.

I've just turned off the main road and headed back to my street
in this picture.  It is one of my favorite spots to walk along.
Just so peaceful and makes me thankful that we found
this place to call home.
Walked 6 miles
Found a penny, that hasn't happened in quite a while! 😊

Back to the old house again after breakfast for another morning of painting.
It seems like a nightmare,
you know the kind where you keep doing something over
and over and never getting done.

This afternoon I finished reading
As Bright as Heaven by Susan Meissner.
Tomorrow morning is my book club meeting
so finished it just in time.
It was very good and it should be a good discussion tomorrow.

It was a cloudy day but the temperature went up to 56 degrees F
so I had to go outside for a while this afternoon. 😃

A happy day to you.

Your sky pictures this morning are so beautiful, Karen. I'm glad you were able to take your walk outside and be outside a bit this afternoon.

I know you'll be glad to have the painting at the old house finished. I am praying that it sells quickly once you put it back on the market. It is such a lovely home.

Congratulations on finding that penny this morning on your walk!

Your morning skies sure were beautiful! Walking 6 miles is quite an accomplishment. I need to get back out walking, but I'm not as sturdy on my feet as I was and it's been wet and snowy here. I always pick up a penny when I spy one. Happy day!!!
hugs,
Jann

Those are some beautiful sky photos....I do know what you mean about doing something over and over and never seeming to get done.

You need Lorelei to help with the painting...you have to scroll down to see her in action. LOL Actually, I have never seen anyone as good as her mom with painting. She is just so quick and good at it. Just thinks nothing of deciding to paint a room and doing it. Me, I dread it so bad...what I dread is the moving everything and taping for stuff...

I love, love, love the sky shots. Just so much variety and all we need to do is look up.

Wonderful walk and great photos this morning. Not spring in Virginia yet... oh well, soon! Yes, you must feel as if you're in a bad movie painting over and over. If Bill Murray shows up, you’ll know it’s a nightmare.

...it looks like the sky improved as the day went along.

Those skies really are gorgeous and I'm glad you could get out. We hiked today and saw 5 deer...which was the most we've ever seen at once! They are small deer here in FL. Enjoy your evening! Hugs!

The sunrise looks like fire in the sky behind the trees. I saw it too.

Hello, beautiful series of sky images. The view down the road is pretty too.
Painting is not fun. Yesterday was the second day I was able to walk outside.
Have a happy day!

Beautiful pictures. I love the road too, there's just something about a road trailing off into the distance.

Your walk was pretty! A penny! Maybe you don't find as many coins when you walk from your new house.

I was talking to a coworker today about pennies. In Japan one yen is about a cent. 1 yen coins are made of aluminum, and feel about as heavy as paper.

The early bird gets the sunrises! Beautiful. Glad you could get out to walk. Sorry about the painting nightmare at the old house. Praying as I type that your efforts will yield a sale!
