Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Another nice day

It rained during the night and at 7:00 this morning
when I left it was a bit drizzly but that didn't last long.
Once the sun rose it was a mix of sun and clouds.
50 degrees F and windy.

Walked to town again and this time went right to the cemeteries.
Both are at the edge of town and near each other.
This is the lower one.
And this is the one up the hill.
Walked around the parking lot by the little pond and then
headed back home.
Saw a couple of Killdeers over by the pond.
I always hear them before I see them.  They have just a distinct call.

Walked just shy of 6 miles at 5.8.

Another morning of painting at the old house.
Two bedrooms are done.
One bedroom and two bathrooms have the first coat of paint on them.

After I used up my tray of paint I left Ken painting and I went outside.
There are dead flowers left from last summer and started on getting
the gardens ready for spring.
I figured I might as well get started while the weather was nice
because I'm sure we will be getting more snow one of these days.

Back home after lunch and we went out back to look at where
our deck will be.  We will build it once we sell the house and have some money!
My clothes line will be built on posts on the deck.
Here is where the deck will be.
Since the deck will be low Ken can put my clothes line up before we
actually build the deck.
Will post pictures as the work is done.
Then we just walked around outside a while.
When I went back inside Ken got on his tractor and moved some dirt
around in the front.  His idea of fun.  ๐Ÿ˜  ๐Ÿšœ

I planned on getting some housework done but didn't get past
the jigsaw puzzle on the table and ended up doing that instead.
Oh well, that was more fun than housework!

Looking forward to getting some reading done the evening.

A happy day to you.

You always do so much...I feel like I am slower than Christmas when I compare myself to anyone else. I love that view you have below the cemeteries.

I miss hanging out clothes. I just may do a few this summer. There is nothing better than that smell of line-dried clothes. Always feel like all is right in my world if I am hanging clothes on the line.

...in your first image, I like the yellow of the willow. I have seen a bunch here too!

You are getting very close to finished with that painting. I know that you’ll be glad to see the end of it. It is not too early to begin praying for the sale of that home even if it is not yet on the market so I’m joining you in prayer for that.

A deck will be fabulous...will you access it via the door seen there? I know that you love your clothesline and I hope that you get one soon. ๐Ÿงบ (I wonder if that laundry basket emoji will stay. I’ve noticed most of them turn into little boxes lately.)

Working on a jigsaw is definitely more fun than doing housework!

Hi Karen- You are certainly looking forward to your new deck - it will be great. I built our back Verandah probably thirty years ago- with a little help with the lifting. We've always had a cloths line there under cover- great for drizzly days. Thanks for posting great photos. Regards. KEV.

Hello, pretty photos. I like the view of the cemetery and tall trees near the road. Your home does look pretty, I like the colors. It will be nice to have the deck done. I usually hear the Killdeer before seeing them. Enjoy your day and weekend!

So happy that your weather has changed for the better, your days seem like mine busy, busy, I love my clothesline especially when i bring sheets in from sunning all day, when I get in bed I just sniff and sniff, ~smile~ i guess you can tell it doesn't take much to make me happy.~smile~
I enjoy stopping by cemeteries and reading the headstones and wondering about that person's life,.
Have a blessed weekend.

We are getting some Spring temps here, too, with lots of sunshine and drip drip drip of snow melting. Soon and very soon we will be in the season of Mud! Have a great Saturday night and Sunday!

Ah, yes, I see the French doors now! Wonder what the point of the gate was. I’m glad my building inspector didn’t ask for that.
