Matthew 1:18 - 21 and 24
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise:
When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph,
before they came together,
she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Then Joseph, her husband, being a just man,
and not willing to make her a publick example,
was minded to put her away privily.
But while he thought on these things,
behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream,
saying Joseph, thou son of David,
fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife:
for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
And she shall bring forth a son,
and thou shalt call is name Jesus:
for He shall save His people from their sins.
Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord
had bidden him, and took unto him his wife.
May you have a blessed and peaceful Sunday.

It is amazing how much he trusted.
One usually reads from Luke this time of year, but this passage is good.
Joseph is often overlooked, isn't he.
I feel sure God chose just the right man to be Jesus' foster father.
Joseph, so good. Thanks, Karen.
The Christmas Story is so beautiful from all views, but Joseph’s is particularly compelling. I have always love the Christmas music “Joseph’s Song” that touches on what may have been his thoughts. Very compelling.
Oh and You Tube has it; it is sung by Michael Card.
Such obedience...
I always wonder how I would have reacted in the circumstances...about this and oh, so many other things.
What a wonderful story! Joseph had such faith - such a blessed man to help raise the Son of God.
Wonderful reading. Thank you.
God bless you always.
Amen on the Christmas Commandments! Love your rug!
Thank you for your Sunday post.
All the best Jan
