Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

House pictures

A walk with no rain this morning.
Don't mind walking in the rain but it sure was nice to walk in the sunshine.
60 degrees, calm with a mix of sun and clouds.
Walked to and around the industrial park.
A nice quiet place to walk on a Saturday morning.
Saw a man walking his dog.

Left the industrial park and walked down the main
road a bit and then turned around and walked back in town.
Continued on one of the side streets in town and then
walked down the main street.
As I passed by the Rolling Pin Bakery there were quite a few people
sitting out in front eating donuts. 🍩
All together as one voice they said Good Morning.

Walked 6 miles
Found a penny

Today we spent the whole day at the new house.
I wiped down all the shelves in all the closets, and the kitchen
cabinets and drawers.
Also  washed the hard wood floors and the vinyl in the bathroom.
Ken worked on putting together the cabinets in the basement.
They were the ones we took out of the garage here at the old house.

The fun part was moving some stuff up from the basement into the house.
Not much but it was nice to start.

House pictures
The porch has some of the railings and some of the decking on.
The stone is finished on the house and just about on the garage.
Where you can see the wrap on the house and garage will be siding.
The cinder block you see by the basement Ken will be putting
stone there when we are moved in.
The back splash in the kitchen that Ken put up the other day.
A nice clean floor
The bathroom
I put up the shower curtain but it looks a bit wrinkled so I'll have to
take that down and iron it.
I'm hoping by next Saturday we will be able to move in.
If not then for sure the next Saturday.

Exciting times.
Hope your day was a happy one.

The house is coming along great. I know it will be a relief to have it completed and move in. Then onto getting the other house sold.
