Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Happy

Walked all around town this morning.
All the usual places, down the main street, the cemeteries and ball park loop.
It was 60 degrees with some low hanging clouds around.
They soon passed though and it was a sunny walk.

It is not dark when I leave but the sun hasn't come over the
mountain yet.  Not long ago it was sunny when I left at 6:30.

A quiet morning around town.  Didn't see anyone else out.

Walked 6 miles
Found another penny 😊
It's been a good week for pennies.

Today it was Blankets for Babies day and I headed out at 9:00.
It was Marilyn's turn to bring breakfast which was
an egg casserole and fresh fruit.
Pam continued the devotional this month that she started last month.
There were 10 of us working on blankets this month.
I'm still working on the yellow one but only have 4 more squares to do.
I'll definitely finish it this evening.

This afternoon I finally got to mow the lawn.  With all the rain
showers we've had the lawn stayed too wet to mow.

I didn't plant any sunflowers in my yard this year but a few
have come up on their own.
Planning on planting some next year at the new house.
A few of you have asked if we have sold our house yet.
No, not yet.  We still have only had that one viewing.
Have just lowered the price again.

We packed up a few more boxes and after supper took them to
the house.  We just made it before a rain shower arrived.

Electric and plumbing inspector came to today and all is well.
Final inspector coming tomorrow to check the few things that
needed to be done.
So it looks like Saturday really is move in day.
We are two very happy people.

Sure will enjoy sitting down and eating my ice cream this evening.

Hope your day was a good one and you smiled often.

I love the yellow in your photos today. So happy and bright. It's wondering that a group of you ladies are ministering to the babies and their mothers through making blankets. I know they will be much appreciated. You now have a move in day. Congratulations!!

The Goldenrod is such a pretty flower, but then so is the Sunflower.

The days are definitely getting shorter and I've had some leaves fall around me when walking. That may be due more to the dryness though, than Autumn.

Those sunflowers are lovely. I planted about 50 or so seeds this year. Only three plants have come up. No flowers though. Next year I'll plant plastic ones instead.

God bless.

Moving day is almost here! How exciting. I love sunflowers and would love to have planted some near my apartment but no space for it. Have a wonderful time on Saturday!

Yellow flowers are so cheery. Guess that's why goldenrod and sunflowers are two of my favorites.

Happy news that Sat. will be moving day. I'm so happy for you!!
