Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

For Sale Sign

62 degrees with on and off again rain on my morning walk,
but it did stop around the last mile and was just cloudy.
Throughout the day we had sun and clouds.

Had my usual walk around town.

It was the last morning I'll be waving to the bus drivers for a while.
It was the last day of school.
Lots of happy kids around today.

This month is the anniversary of my morning walks.
Though I've always liked walking it was June of 1988 that
I started taking a morning walk.
Hard to believe it has been 30 years.

Amy, our realtor came to the house this morning and we signed
all the papers so the house is now officially For Sale.
She came back later in the day and put the sign in the yard.
Once again this afternoon I was outside weeding yet another garden.
This one is up near the top of the driveway.

While I was doing that Ken got the garage all squared away
and it looks great.  Too bad it took us moving to get it looking so good!! 😊

That's it for today.
Hope it won't be long before I can tell you the house is sold.

Hope your day was a happy one.

You two are busy beavers, for sure! In June of 1988 I got married. Taking a trip later this month to celebrate. I do hope you sell your house quickly.

Congratulations on 30 years of faithful walking!!

Our weather was very much like yours today. A good day to get things done ( aren't they all?)

30 years!!! Good luck with the house sale. I keep looking around here thinking that I should start sorting and downsizing so that we can have this place staged by March. It's just a scary though. : ) I keep trying to focus on the long term... A comfy home in a safe and quiet area. It's so beautiful where you are.

Good luck on getting the house sold quickly so you can move on. Will this change your walking route? 30 years is a long time. My Husband has avidly walked every day rain, sun, or snow for about 12 years. He was laid off work one day and started walking the next. He never stopped. I admire that dedication. I do good to walk 5 days a week for about 45 minutes after work.

You are amazing at how you stick to your walking every day! I am very spiritic. Best of luck on selling your home. Homes around here are selling within a couple of days. It's really quite crazy! I cleaned our garage this week and sprayed it out. Looks so much better! Have a great Father's Day weekend.
hugs,
Jann

Believe me, I understand...unfortunately, it seems it will take getting it ready for the market to get mine in order too. Someone will come along soon and snap up that pretty home!

The new house is 2 1/2 miles away from this house so yes it will change some. I'll still walk to town some days, but now I'll be able to walk in the other direction too.
