Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Kitchen cabinets, sinks, and toilets

The cows up along Barn Sale Road.
62 degrees again this morning at 6:30 when I left on my walk.
It was cloudy and I felt a few rain drops.
There was just enough rain to dampen the streets to give off that
rain smell which smells so good.
That was all to the rain and then it was clouds and sun.

Walked the streets behind my house, through town,
up Barn Sale Rd, down toward Happy Trails, back through town,
and around the ball park loop, and one of the cemeteries.
The phlox has started to bloom between some of the grave stones.
A hay truck driving through town.
Saw the usual birds, a few rabbits hopping about and one
that didn't make it across the road.  Poor thing.

No people about this morning.
Walked 6 miles

Ken went up to the new house to do more work on the drainage and
stone walls in the back yard.  He is now making a couple of terraces out there.
I stayed home and got some weeding done out in the front gardens.
Dug up some daisies to plant at the new house.
After lunch I went back with Ken and planted them.

Ronnie has started installing the cabinets in the kitchen
which makes me very happy.
The vanities in the bathroom are hooked up with the faucets
and the toilet is installed too.  The other toilet it in the half bath
off the mud room is installed too.
This is the sink in the half bath.
Good work was done today in the house and makes us another
day close to move in time.
Move in date has slipped from May to June now.
A little disappointing but we'll be in there before too much longer.

Things are looking real good and close at the new place. Love the white cabinets against the blue walls!

Gorgeous purple flowers!

I like the wall in the loo. It is unusual for here, maybe more European style? I mean dividing the room like that.

It must be disappointing to have to wait for everything to get done so you can move in. It always seems to take longer than anticipated. But won't it be lovely when it's all finished!!

Love your choices in cabinets and sinks. Always exciting to see the kitchen taking shape. Love your blue walls too. Is your current house up for sale?

I love the white cabinets...I was wondering how far along things were. I still think a lot has been accomplished over the winter!
