Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A clean car

A chilly start at 32 degrees this morning when I started walking.
It was a still morning and the sun was shining.
It warmed up quickly though and we had a beautiful day.

Left at 6:30 this morning and walked up and down the main road,
around both cemeteries and the ball park loop.
Went behind the loop and walked along the short trail.
Another quiet morning and didn't see anyone else out walking,
but I did see a farmer out in a field on his tractor.
Walked 6 miles
🌸     🌸     🌸
Stayed home this morning and got a couple loads of laundry done
and out on the line to dry.

Finally a nice day that I didn't have to go anywhere and was
able to get my car out of the garage, give it a good wash and
then take it for a little spin.
Now that winter is over and I don't think  we'll get any more
snow, I'll be able to drive my car again.
Hard to believe that my car is 16 years old.
Ken came back from the house for lunch and then left again.
I stayed home and got the lawn mowed.
Two other neighbors were mowing their lawn too.
I have one of those 0 turn around ones and it doesn't take that long to mow
our acre, about 45 minutes.
My neighbors both started before me and I was finished before they were.

After I got the clothes off the line, folded and the sheets
back on the bed I sat out on my porch and read for a little while.
I'm liking these warm sunny days. 😊

...my daily driver is 13 years old and is NEVER clean, I drive too many dirt roads. My '50 Ford hot rod is another matter!

I'd say you had a very productive day and you even found time to sit on the porch and enjoy the sunshine!!

Your car is beautiful. I do love driving a clean car...my car is black and when it's clean, it's so pretty but right now it's wearing yellow powder, otherwise known as oak dust...lol!

I like your car. A generous friend of mine, only just recently, said to me: "Do you remember that nice bright red sports car we saw in the showroom this morning? I bought you a tooth brush the same colour!!!"

God bless.
