Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Luke

Because of the time change and losing an hour
I didn't have time to take a morning walk before church.
But I did take an afternoon walk.
It was sunny, no wind and 34 degrees.

Since it is now March we have a new Bible verse to memorize at church.
This is a familiar verse but one I haven't memorized.
Have learned the first half and working on the second,
which is a bit tricky for me.

Luke 6:38
Give, and it shall be given unto you,
good measure, pressed down,
and shaken together, and running over,
shall men give into your bosom.
For with the same measure that ye mete withal
it shall be measured to you again.

A blessed Sunday to you.
Jesus Love You.

Great verse. You’ll have it memorized before you know it.

You are so lucky to have such wonderful places to walk to, Happyone. We still have not changed our clocks in the UK. I think they do all this changing forwards and backwards of the clocks to annoy people. Scientifically speaking, we lose an hour of our lives every time they move the clock forward. Every 24 years we have lost a day of our lives.

I like the Verse you have chosen for today.

Every time I visit here I read the Groucho Marx quote again.

God bless.

Thanks for a peek at the creek. I love any property with a creek running through it.

Spmetimes I have to read several versions so I understand. Here’s 2 others

ESV
give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

MSG
Give away your life; you'll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity."

Sometimes you wonder if the MSG is really the same verse

That is such a wonderful verse to memorize because it is such a wonderful promise to us!

That's a good, generous verse to live by! We're expecting snow tonight -- what a snowy winter it's been!

The cold is easier to take when there is no wind. That is a beautiful verse. I can see how the second part is a little harder to memorize.

We certainly do know God's bountiful giving to us!

Spring forward really is hard to get used to. That's a good verse to memorize.
