Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Walking route and getting stone

All the ice and snow melted yesterday when it was in 50's
and rained all morning.
This morning when I walked though it was right at 32 and snowing.
Didn't leave until a little after 7:00.
Walked around the ball park, both cemeteries, around town,
up Barn Sale a ways, and down toward Happy Trails.
Turned around and headed back home.
Just some flurries when I first started walking.
Then walking up Barn Sale it started snowing hard.
The cows looked up as I walked by.
The snow didn't last very long and by the time I was back home it had stopped.
I heard a little squeaking sound and looked down and saw two little
mice run in between the crack in these rocks.  Waited for a bit to see if they
would come out again but they never did.
When walking around the cemeteries if I find flowers have blown off
the gravestones I'll put them back or untangle the flags.
It wasn't windy today and this flag was frozen in this position.
Didn't see anyone else out walking again.  I suppose people are waiting for spring.
This is the route I walked this morning. (6 miles)

Ken left when I did to get a load of number 2 stone for the driveway at the new house.
He went back for a second load after we ate breakfast while I stayed home
getting my morning chores done.
On the way for the third load he stopped at the house to pick me up and
I went along with him.
Ended up making 5 trips for the day.
Nice weather, in the mid 30's and sunny.
Tomorrow the dry wall gets delivered to the house.

 Life is Good
Count your blessings and have a happy day.

Glad you were able to walk in all these conditions. Ahh, drywall, we are in the midst of it here, too.

Oh, dry wall! That makes so much difference - it feels like the inside is "done." So exciting!

Very neat map! It looks like the one I get on the MapMyWalk app on my phone. I enjoy using it.

Love your walking map! What app is that? I use "Map My Walk." So exciting that you are making progress on the new house!

Oh how exciting having the dry wall delivered today! (Tuesday) I've so enjoyed watching your new house being built from the ground up. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us, Karen. And how kind of you to put this aright when flowers have been blown over.

I use the Strava app to map my walks. Poor wee mice must have ventured out thinking the snow was gone!

It really looks very cold where you are. Here it is raining all the time. So much so that the ducks float around in boats so as not to get wet.

God bless.
