Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

An afternoon walk

🎄     🎄
First thing this morning we ate breakfast (usually eat breakfast after I walk)
and then left for Walmart and got our food shopping done.
Stopped at the Save and Shop too.
From the parking lot we noticed that snow is now being made
on the ski slopes.
Got all the groceries put away and then had lunch.

I finally got to walk in the afternoon.
Don't know the exact temperature but it was in the 20's.
It was a cloudy day and never did get to see the sun.

Walked around both the cemeteries a couple of times.
Also went among the gravestones reading some of them.
Went around the ball park loop and around town too.
No one else out.

I walked around the little town pond and stayed for a little while and
watched the geese.
For the first time I saw these two white geese.
One of the horses down by the Drane house was eating again but
the other one came over by me and sniffed my hand and let me pet her.

Walked 6 miles
Found the first coins of the month,
three pennies

Thought about putting up the tree but once again just thought about it.

Got some more reading done this afternoon before making supper.
Easy supper tonight.  A nice big salad with all kinds of things in it.

A happy day to you.

We had flurries yesterday...may get snow showers in the morn. Bright and sunny all day today, but wind felt like it was off an iceberg.

We went to Walmart this morn, too!

If you think about putting up the tree long enough, you'll eventually do it.

It's snowing here, kinda unseasonal for east Tennessee but it's beautiful! I'm so enjoying our tree... love having just the tree lights in the early morning. 💜

Hello, that is a neat view of the ski slopes. It is snowing here this morning, 1-3 inches maybe. Your salad sounds yummy. Have a happy day and weekend!

I have photos of some white geese in my post today too!

I think it’s funny that we make snow! :)

Pretty cool that you can see them making snow. I'm betting you got to take a walk through your own snow today.

Is that ski runs on the hillside? Looks very impressive.

Yes it is.

No, we didn't get any snow this time around.

It’s fun to watch the snow being made. We’re in a snowy couple of weeks so there’ll be lots of snow making going on. I like that quote.
