Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Here's a LINK with a bit more information about the Tiny Church and Post Office
for those of you asked questions about them.
🎈
🎈
My walk was the usual one again all over and around town.
The temperature was 35 degrees and cloudy.
A damp morning but nothing falling from the sky which was nice.

I saw Cathy but didn't walk with her.  I got a bit of a late start and
she was leaving town in her car as I was heading over to the cemeteries.
Took this picture leaving the cemetery up on the hill.
I saw a couple of blue jays.  Their pretty blue coloring nice to see on
a cloudy morning.
Some geese flew overhead low enough for me to hear the
flapping of their wings.

Walked 6.2 miles
🎈
I'm home today getting some house chores completed.

Read a bit this afternoon too.

Ken is working on sorting through all the stuff in his office.

Not much to write about today but a good day just the same.

Make your day a good one.
A smile from me to you.
happyone 😊

I am thankful for the comforts in my house that are
easily taken for granted.
Running water
Indoor plumbing
Electricity - light at the flick of a switch
Being able to turn up the thermostat when I'm chilly
A nice warm bed to sleep in

DebbieJ - The new house is actually smaller then the one we live in now.  Going from 4 bedrooms to 2, from 3 baths to 1 and a half bathrooms.
New house has a good size country kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms.
New house looks big because of the BIG porch and the 3 car garage.

The church is so pretty and the post office too. Thanks for the link, I can see it would be a great place for a wedding or baptism.

I'm thankful for all those conveniences we enjoy every day, too!

Oh, we are sort of on the same wave length today...we were burning some wood and sticks, etc. we were sitting there for a minute and I told Roger I don't know how our ancestors made it. I told him to imagine that being all we had to heat with in the dead of winter.

Most of my brothers and sisters remembers living without electricity...I think we always had electricity from when I was a baby, but not much farther back than that. (I am 62) I don't know if you ever noticed at the side of my Pics & Pieces blog, there is a link to my About Me post...it explains a bit about how I grew up.

I love the feathers and color of the blue jays. We rarely see them around here.
I agree with your thankful thoughts of home. It is so true that they are easy to take for granted.

I saw a gorgeous blue jay today at lunchtime. I always hear them out in the trees but don't often see them...they are especially pretty in the snow :)

I'm enjoying those low-flying geese these days too, a sure sign of early winter.
