Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Walking on the floor

🍄     🍄     🍄
A warm 57 degrees this morning with a mix of sun and clouds.  The clouds
made for a beautiful sunrise.

Walked behind my house, straight through town, up Sale Barn,
down toward HT, and then back around town.
A couple of times around the ball park loop and couple of times around
one of the cemeteries.

Nice to see cars at the Rolling Pin Bakery and that they are busy.

Holding my breath I watched a little rabbit dart out into the street
between two trucks coming in opposite directions.  Thought for sure
the rabbit would get squashed but he made it safely across.  🐇

Walked 6.4 miles

Got two loads of laundry hung out on the lines and then continued my
house cleaning and did the family room.
I'm going through each room and giving it a GOOD cleaning.

Lunch time we stopped at the Rolling Pin Bakery and picked up a
turkey sandwich and some coleslaw for lunch.  It was very good
and very reasonably priced.  A crowd was there and they were doing
a great business.  Hope it keeps up and they make a go of it.

We took our lunch up to HT and ate there.
Ronnie and Paul were hard a work putting the decking on the floor joists.
Exciting to be walking around on the floor of our house!!
We didn't stay till the end of the day but left for home at 2:00.
A good thing too because it started clouding up and we felt the first drops
of rain as we pulled in the driveway.  Got my clothes off the line just in time.

Ronnie has a pretty neat work truck, an old ambulance.
It is very organized inside and has a place for everything.
We went out for pizza for supper.  Not Brenda's this time but a place
called Mountain State Brewery where they have brick oven pizza.

Then a stop a the Shop and Save to pick up ice cream on sale.

Now for a relaxing evening at home.
 A happy day to you.

Tom - and that is exactly who I felt like sitting in the chair. : )
Sandi - No, haven't seen that movie, but I did see the old movie, The Incredible Shrinking Man.

...that sunrise is a good reason to get up in the morning. Does Ronnie have a first aid kit in the truck?

How exciting, to have the flooring going in! It's looking good. I'm glad you got some rain. We are quite dry here, and are hoping for rain, but it's not in the forecast anytime soon.

Hope that bakery makes a go of it! I always think that the fastest progress in building a house is when the floor is finished and the walls go up. Put on a roof and suddenly you have a building!

Wow...a very cool looking floor. That's a good idea to use an old ambulance into good use!

Everything looks great up at your new house.
So glad to hear Rolling Pin Bakery is up and running. Great you enjoyed lunch there. Sadly our little bakery that opened up in the Spring closed. We have a great grocery store in town that has an incredible reasonable priced bakery so they just couldn't compete.
Have a great weekend!
