Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

An awesome sky

On my morning walk Saturday the sky was awesome in the true sense of the word.
So beautiful that I thought it deserved a post all its own.
It started out like this.
Then the whole sky turned an orange pink color.
Every direction I looked in, it was like that.
Everything had an orange tint to it.
I just stood there looking up at it and was thanking God for such a gorgeous sky,
when I saw a rainbow start to appear.
Then it got bigger (left side)
Right side
Finally the whole arc appeared
and then a double rainbow.
The pictures don't do it justice.
It was amazing to be standing under this sky.
The whole thing must have lasted about 10 minutes and it was all gone.
There was just about a minute when a few drops of rain came down.

I thought of all the people who were still in bed and never did
see this beautiful sky.

This was certainly worth getting up early for.

The internet is working sporadically so I never know if I'll
be able to get on line or not.
Hopefully I'll be back later in the day with another post,
and to visit you all.

A happy day to you.
happyone 😊

It’s like someone spilled Tang on the sky and tried to clean it up with a rainbow.

(Does anyone else remember Tang?)

That is beautiful! God is my favorite artist. I call it cotton Candy skies when they are the pink and blues.
Great shots.
