Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Thursday

๐ŸŒป     ๐ŸŒป
It was 50 degrees this morning when I started on my walk.
It was sunny with some low hanging clouds.
A random walk all over the place for me today.
Spotted this deer over in a field.  Had to zoom in a bit to get this picture
of her down there in a bit of fog.
Took a peek in the window at the bakery and the floor tiles are finally finished.
It sure is taking a long time to get all the renovations done before they open.
I'm sure it will be worth the wait once it opens though.  ๐Ÿ˜Š

Walked 6.2 miles

I know it is a bit early to be picking out flooring for the new house
but we went looking today.
We stopped first right up the road at a place called
The Floor Store, a family run store, and found beautiful hard wood
flooring that we both liked.  They were very helpful as well as nice.

We drove over to Uniontown and went in Lowe's and Home
Depot but didn't find anything that comes close to what we liked at The
Floor Store so we will more than likely be getting it from them.
Sorry no pictures (yet).

Read a little this afternoon and then we went to Little Caesars
and got one of their thick crust pizzas for supper.
Then sat in the truck over at the shopping center and ate it
watching people come and go.

Still have my exercise CD to do and then I'll probably
do some more reading.

A happy day to you.

Beautiful, foggy pics! Those first two sure are beauties...and the deer is beautiful. We don't see many deer these days.

Hello Karen,

We have been without internet service since last Saturday, but our service was restored this morning so I've been doing a bit of catching up on my reading of blogs. Not quite ready to start back in blogging just yet.

Your pictures are just beautiful. I love the low lying fog and your picture of the deer in the midst of it is really stunning.

We had 54 this morning at 5:30, so there wasn't much difference in our temps this morning. ;)

I'm enjoying your excitement about the new home you and Ken are having built! What fun to be able to go shopping together for the different things that you will need!

Hope you have a wonderful remainder to your evening.

The early morning fog has a beauty all of its own when it begins to thin and lift.

Lovely pictures from your walk. The first one looks so peaceful.
I look forward to seeing what you chose for your hardwood flooring. I like the idea of purchasing from a small, family owned shop. The Floor Store is a cute name.
I believe that you exemplify the quote from At Home in Mitford.

Thank you for carrying your camera with you in the mornings.

Your photography is awesome. Do you use your cell phone, or take a camera with you on your walks?

You really do get some pretty pictures on you walks. I must have missed something, but is the new home you are building the same as the home at Happy Trails?
