Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Chicken House

🍄     🍄
Just a bit of fog around this morning but it soon burned off and it was a
sunny day.  60 degrees when I walked.
Walked the Farm Loop again today.
Passed by the house where those chickens were yesterday and
there in the back yard I spotted a new chicken coop for them.
Picture not so great cause I had to zoom in but what a nice house they have.
Back in town walked a loop around town and one of the cemeteries.

Saw Kathy but she was leaving as I was getting to where she parks her
car so we just waved today.
Didn't see anyone else out walking.

Walked 6.1 miles

Went to church right after breakfast with my tote bag of yarn and weave-its
for Blankets for Babies.  There were 8 of us there today.
We meet once a month and I do enjoy the time there.

Was back home in time for a late lunch and then I got out the
bread machine and made a loaf.
While that was going on, I went outside and got the lawn mowed.
After I was done I checked and all the lug nuts were still on the wheels.
After last time having 3 of them missing, I thought it would be a good idea
to check every time I mow.

I had just read a chapter of the second book in the Mitford series so I
put that aside now that I have the first one and will read them in order.

Ken has been up at Happy Trail all day and when he got home we
decided to go out to Brenda's for supper.
No pizza today though.  We both got sandwiches.
Meatball Sub for Ken and a Veggie Sub for me.

Looking forward to getting some more reading in later.

A happy day to you.

That IS a snazzy chicken house! I wish those chickens lived by me so I could give them a few zucchini. Jody at Gumbo Lily says they like them.

Your pictures are pretty enough to be on a calendar! and that really is the cutest chicken house. My hens would probably leave home if they saw it. I have started reading the second book in the Mitford series too. Just need to find time to read more.

Hi Karen, foggy morning here this morning too. Wonderful photo of the bales of hay and rows of corn. That is quite a luxurious chicken house! Glad you are enjoying the Mitford series. I really liked it too.
Have a good weekend!

Quite a henhouse. makes me wonder how they all got out the other day. Wondering if you might share your recipe for the bread machine sometime? Could use one that I could make myself instead of using package mixes.

That is a very lovely chicken coop! Maybe we should encase ours in wire underneath too someday? I read the Mitford books years ago and still have quite a few on my shelf. She's delightful. I think the first one is still my favorite - enjoy!
