Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Face in a rock

Can you see the mean face in the rock?
🍓     🍓
A sunny morning and 62 degrees for my walk today.
Walked the streets behind my house, the ball park loop, and both cemeteries.
Went up Sale Barn a ways too
and then headed back home.

Walking along the road near the doctors office a lady in a car stopped to
ask me what days the office was closed.
Told her I thought Monday but knew they were open on Tuesday.
She then told me that today was Wednesday and I told her I was pretty sure
it was Tuesday today.  She insisted that it was Wednesday.
Anyway I told her she was a bit early and that they don't open till 8:00.

Saw Kathy's car in the parking lot by the pond but never did see her.
Rebeca was out walking her dog.

Walked 6.3 miles

Left this morning and went to Staples down in LaVale again to get final copies
made of all the plans to give to Ronnie.
We got 8 copies made of 7 different pages.
It took longer than we thought it would and ended up spending the
whole day there.
Had lunch at Wendy's.  I had the small spicy chicken Caesar salad
which was pretty good.

We dropped off the copies at Ronnie's who lives just 6 miles down the road
from our house.

Planned on going bowling but since it took longer getting the copies made
we were too late for bowling.  There is always next week for bowling!

I'm pretty sure I'll be able to finish the Baby Blanket this evening.

That's it for today.
A happy day to you.

I think I do see the mean face. It's neat how you take us along on your walks. The Queen Anne's Lace is so pretty.

That rock has quite the frowny face! ;)

I hope that dear lady waited for the doctor to open his office today. Bless her heart.

Glad that you have the copies all run off now. Carroll and I both love the layout of it all. Very nice.

Well...that was one confused lady that challenged you on the day of the week.

...I'm afraid not!

That so sounds like me being mixed up on what day it is, but I would never argue because I know me! If there is a three day weekend, it takes me a week to get back on track!

Hi Karen, we have had a couple cooler mornings for walks too, it is lovely.
How exciting your builder now has the house plans! What an interesting year it will be for you and Ken.
Have a good day!

I hope that lady got oriented to the right day! lol I'm trying to catch up here. I've missed several of "our walks". How exciting that things are progressing with the house. Have a great day.

Those town outings often take SO much more time than we want them to! I spent all day in town yesterday too. Our bowling alley in New Bern was sold and closed. Then the one in Jacksonville (over an hour away) burned down!! I hope bowling isn't a dying sport.

Oh dear, I hope the lady caught up with herself and managed to make her appointment. Yes, I could see the grouchy face xx

It's suppertime and I may be hungry, but I see a turkey ready for roasting. Help me see the mean face. LOL!

That lady who didn't know what day it is could've been me! Sometimes hubs and I have to debate it until we figured out what day of the week it is. Honest. Retirement has its peculiarities.
