Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Butterflies, blankets and coloring

The sun trying to shine through some low hanging clouds this morning.
It did after a while and it was mostly a sunny walk.

HennyPenny - Yes, our new house will be up at Happy Trails.  No, those flowers were NOT in my yard but in Farmer Marvin's yard around his gazebo.
📌
61 degrees this morning and a bit of a breeze.
One of those random walks when I go all over the place but I did stay
around town today.

A tree that looked interesting to me.  It is by the town pond which you
can kind of see in the picture.
They put straw all around the edges of the pond.
A couple pictures along my walk.
Saw the man walking his big white dog around the ball park loop.
Then I spotted Kathy walking toward me and when we met up I turned
around and we walked together for about a mile and then we went our separate
ways again.  You might wonder why we don't walk together but both of
us prefer walking alone but a mile or so together is nice.

Walked 6.2 miles
Found a dime and a penny

Ken went up to Happy Trails in the morning to clear some more rocks out
of the way of the building site.  Nice ones that he wants to save and has been
putting them in several piles out of the way.

I stayed home and washed cars.  Washed mine first and then took it for a
little spin around the Farm Loop.
When I walk the loop it doesn't seem long at all but when I drove it I
thought it seemed a pretty far way to walk!

Next up was the Equinox.  Now that was one dirty car!!
I enjoy washing my car but washing the Equinox is work.
Took a few minutes out of washing cars to take a couple of pictures of
butterflies enjoying my cone flowers.
Didn't finish the Baby Blanket last night like I thought, but
I did finish it this afternoon.
Walked over to the library at 4:45 for some coloring fun at the library.
Just a few of us again.  I'm surprised more people don't show up!!
Anyway the 4 of us enjoyed it.

As always I had to leave a few minutes early and Ken picked me up
for Wednesday evening church service.
There doesn't seem to be a good time for supper on these days
so I went without.
BUT I'm off now for some ice cream.🍨

Life is Good
 A happy day to you.

...perhaps because of all our rain, I haven't seen very many butterflies.

Your cone flowers are beautiful, Karen. Great capture of the butterflies enjoying them. :) You made me chuckle about washing your car not being work, but washing the Equinox was work! haha. Love today's Scripture that you shared...such wisdom in those words!

Your blanket looks as though it was inspired by the beautiful colours of your Echinaceas and butterfly! Lovely captures.
Washing hubby's car is always so much hard work!
Have a great day :)

Hi Karen, it seems like we are enjoying the same weather for our morning walks. Not too hot or cold, just right!
Your coneflowers are just lovely.
I enjoy washing our cars too. At one time we had a SUV. I am too short to reach to the roof and always needed a step stool to wash the roof.
Hope you enjoyed your ice cream supper!

Your butterfly pictures are so pretty. Sounds like a perfect reason to take a break from car washing :).

My car is in desperate need of a wash. When shall I bring it by? lol The sunrise during your walk was beautiful. It certainly must be wonderful to greet the day like that. Have a great day.

The baby blanket looks so soft and beautiful. I love your butterfly pics. For once I have not seen many butterflies on mine...not that there was ever a lot, but usually seen a few along.

Oh my! I do love that lone tree. There is a similar one close to where I live and I think it is just beautiful. All the pictures are lovely with the foggy look.
