Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Thursday

🐞     🐞
64 degrees this morning with a mix of sun and clouds for my walk.
Walked the Farm Loop.
Farmer Bill was out in his front yard and I stopped to talk to him.
You may remember me posting pictures of his white and black llamas before
and I  was asking him about them.  Turns out they are not llamas at
all but alpacas.  He was telling me that he has to keep them closer to the
barn now because the other day 2 dogs attacked them!!
Both alpacas are okay don't know whose dogs they are.

Back to town I walked a loop around town and around the Ball Park Loop.
Another stone house for sale in town.  This one down the road
from the school.  It has been empty for many months.
Looks like it too needs quite a lot of work but would be really cute fixed up.
Saw Kathy in town but from a distance so we just waved.

Walked 6.2 miles
Found a penny
🐞     🐞
Left this morning in my nice clean car with the latest two baby blankets
and went to church to meet the others for Baby Blanket Day.
There were 7 of us there today.
Lots of babies being born around here this month (36) but we have kept
up and not a baby left the hospital without a blanket.
I got 5 weave-its done for the next one in a mint green.

Didn't do much of anything this afternoon, mostly read.

Look at my daisies down the end of the driveway now.
I can see them blocks away.
That's about it for today.
 A happy day to you.

Oh that stone house is so cute, but then I love stone houses! I hope someone will buy it soon and take care of it. Love all of your daisies!

Poor alpacas, that's a worry if the dogs are on the loose.
What a glorious sight! Your daisies are a delight!

Hello, I feel sorry for the alpacas but I am glad they are OK. I wonder if they are wild dogs or belong to neighbors? Beautiful view looking down the road. The daisies are just beautiful. Happy Friday, enjoy your day and weekend!

Wonderful photos Karen! We had a foggy, misty walk yesterday morning but am enjoying the cooler temps.
Interesting stone house, would love to see the inside.
Your daisies are gorgeous. I must plant some here at our new house!
Have a good weekend.

What a wonderful ministry you have of providing blankets for the new babies! Your daisies are beautiful, one of my favorite flowers.
I have always wanted to add a llama or alpaca to the farm, but they are so rare and expensive around here!
Your photos and walks are always so inspiring, since being so busy with preserving food, and gardening, I have not been walking, plus we are having an unbearable heat wave!
Always enjoy my visits, and thank you for your friendship in bogland too!
Blessings,
Sue

I have no idea how I missed this post! That is a lot of baby blankets...even for a group! Are there all types of baby blankets--does anyone make quilts? Just curious.

Oh, love that first shot!
