Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Morning and Evening

I had a mini morning walk today of only 2.5 miles.
It was 60 degrees, raining and windy.
I took along my umbrella but it didn't do a bit of good as the wind
just blew the rain at me and I had a hard time keeping hold of my
umbrella.  A couple of times I thought it would blow inside out.
Walked up and down the main road and once around the ball park.
Just was not enjoying this walk and since I had to be home early
anyway, I just went home.

Yesterday while I was out Ken went to church to pick up the
church trailer and brought it home and this morning we went to
PA to pick up more Romans books to assemble.
We got 2 pallets this time.
We got back home around 4:00 but
before arrived home we stopped at Katie's for ice cream cones. 🍦

Since I only walked a little this morning I took another 4 mile walk
this evening.  Sun, clouds, 68 degrees, and VERY WINDY.
Walked through town and around both cemeteries.
The sky was looking dark in the north and I thought for sure I would
get rained on again but the rain stayed away until after I was home.
A few pictures from my walk.

I plan to do a little reading, watching Netflix and making a few
weave-it squares, a typical evening at home and one I enjoy.

Life is Good
A happy day to you.

Very nice walk. You can tell it was windy but it still looked like a pleasant outing.

Hopes tomorrow isn't so windy. I am not really a fan of lots of wind. Hope you have a good Saturday!

Hello, I love the dramatic stormy clouds and sky. I have to admit I am a fair weather walker. You are brave to be out in the rain and wind. We used Netflix a lot while in Florida but I stopped it when we came home to Maryland. Hubby may want to start it up again. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

A very pretty photo of the sunflower and the cloudy skies have a certain beauty too.
Glad you were able to get your miles in one way or another.

Lovely sky photos! What are you enjoying on Netflix lately? We just rented a good sci-fi movie, "Passengers."
