Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Friday

The above picture was taken this morning as well as the picture below.
Interesting looking sky
⛅     ⛅
The temperature was up to 65 this morning when I walked.
A mix of sun and clouds and a bit of a breeze kept things nice and cool.

Walked first to the library and dropped off the latest book in the book drop.
Next stop the post office to mail off a birthday card for Scout,
one of my granddaughters.
Continued around town, the cemeteries and ball park loop.
Don't usually walk up by the school unless I'm walking around the
Farm Loop but went up the hill to the school and back to town again.
Rebeca was out running again and I met up with Kathy again around
the ball park loop.
Another woman who I didn't know was out running by the school and I stopped
to say hi.  She is visiting here in town and was out for her morning run.

At a house at the edge of town a couple of women were setting up
for a yard sale.  Probably be quite a few of them around this weekend
with the tourists coming up for the holiday weekend.

Always nice to start the morning with a walk.
Walked 6.5 miles

Hung around home most of the day.  I changed the dishes on my hutch
around and now have all yellow and cobalt blue Fiestaware on it.

Late afternoon we took the small dump trailer loaded with some
logs from HT over to a park for some friends to use in the outside fire pit
for the party they are having for their daughter tonight.

Started reading Every Secret Thing by Laura Lippman and I liked
it right away so I'm off now to read some more of it.

A happy day to you.

hmmm...suppose that kindness does begin with ourselves. Scout is ten now? Eleven? Surely not older... Time does fly.

Your post are always cheerful and happy, Happyone. :) I like the quote by Groucho Marx and should read it every day!

Have a great weekend! I'm nowhere near you, but I am trying hard to get back to walking an hour every day.

Both the quotes are worth taking note of I think. That's a pretty photo of the flowers.

Your walks are beautiful, the mountains, cows, barns. I love them all
Could you try to get a picture of the dark sky and the many stars?
As you know, there is too much light around here.
Pease and thank you

Hi Karen, lovely sky photos. It is a holiday weekend (CanadaDay) here too so lots of festivities going on even though the weather is not cooperating.
Take care.

Hello, sounds like a nice day and walk. Your sky captures are lovely. I have to start keeping a list of books I see mentioned on blogs. Love the kindness quote. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
