Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Home

🌳     🌳
This morning was another cloudy one and 45 degrees.  It wasn't
raining but there was moisture heavy in the air.

I headed over to the industrial park and walked around there
where I took the above picture .

This road is between the industrial park road and the main road and
you can see it in the first picture down along the houses to the left.
A few chickens were down near the end.
After walking around the industrial park I headed back towards home
but passed up the house and walked through town and just around one of
the cemeteries where there were a few of these guys around.
This one stayed perfectly still and let me get pretty close to him.
I did tell him that his picture would be posted on my blog.
 Then back home.
Walked 6.2 miles
🌳     🌳
Ken went up to Happy Trails.  Too wet to do anything outside so he worked
on the stone wall inside the cabin.

I spent the morning at home getting my routine stuff done around the house.
Ken was home by lunchtime.  We planned on going out but it was so dreary
we ended up just staying home.  I got some more reading done.

About 4:30 this afternoon we finally saw some sun.
It was a nice stay at home day for me.
A happy day to you.

I am grateful for the lawn that needs mowing,
windows that need cleaning,
and floors that need waxing
because it means I have a home.

I always enjoy a stay at home kind of day. I planted a few flowers today. Good weather for us.

Glad you had a nice stay at home day! I stayed home today, too, except for a quick trip to the grocery store for dinner supplies!

I really like the thought at the end of the post. Too often I find myself grumbling about all the work, both inside and outside, but ,in reality,I am so thankful for my home and my yard.Sometimes I just need a reality check.

I was cutting my grass today and saw a pitbull staring at me from about 50 feet away. If it wasn't friendly I was hoping that the lawnmower was enough to scare him off because I had no phone and nothing else to defend myself with. He eventually ran off.

It's been dreary here as well. The week before, we were in Northern Michigan where it was mostly cool, wet, and dreary - with a couple of nice days.

Beautiful pictures and The Roosters ad color to the dreary day.
