Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Farmers Market in miniture

💐     💐
Another morning for wearing my rain clothes.
Not a heavy rain like yesterday but a steady, misty drizzle.
42 degrees with a wind so it was a bit chilly.

Walked first over to public works and dropped the water bill
down the slot.
Then continued around town, up Barn Sale Road a ways where
I took the above picture and this one too.
Walked down toward Happy Trails and then back to town.
Around both cemeteries and a loop around the ball park too.

Didn't see anyone else out again and since it was Saturday no buses
or the work people either.  Very quiet around town.

I saw a few rabbits chasing each other and two deer ran across one of
the fields.  It's been a while since I've seen deer on my walk.

Walked 6.2 miles
Found a penny but can't count this one.
Couldn't pick it up because it was embedded in the road.
I tried to dig it out with a stone but it didn't want to come out.

Ken left the same time I left on my walk to go to a train show
in Cumberland.  He rented a table to sell some train stuff that he longer wants.
Haven't posted a picture of his trains lately so went down and took
this picture today of the Farmers Market on his layout.
For those of you who are new to reading my blog, down at the bottom of the posts
there is a link to Ken's Trains.
Never saw the sun around here today.
It was rainy and drizzly all day.
Nice to see the red winged blackbird stop by for lunch.
Just puttered around the house.
Read quite a bit too.
I'm really liking A Man Called Oav.

Ken came home this afternoon from the train show with less than he left with.

We went out to eat for supper at Mountain State for some brick oven pizza.

A happy day to you.

I'm glad that Ken was able to sell some of his train things that he no longer wants. And I'm glad that we didn't have any snow either. Tonight and tomorrow night is when we are to have the freezing temperatures so I guess we could see some flurries tomorrow...but I'm like you...I hope not.

I thought for a second that you were going to say Ken came home with MORE than he left with...LOL Good that he got rid of some.
