Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A puzzle for BettyC

Another photo of the town pond I took yesterday.
🌺     🌺     🌺
I enjoyed my morning walk even though I missed yesterday's weather.
Today it was 49 degrees and when I left and it was a little misty
but it soon stopped and was just cloudy.
Walked around town up and down all the streets, the cemeteries and the
ball park loop.

Haven't seen the horses down by the Drane house for a while
and wonder where they could be.
The cows that are usually in the pasture on Sale Barn Rd have
been moved to the upper pasture across the street and haven't seen
them for a while either.
Lots of robins around today and also saw a couple of bunnies.

Gail was out walking again and turns out she lives on the street
that is just a block away from where I live.
She says her husband says he sees me walking all over the place.

Walked 6 miles

Ken went up to HT alone this morning because I didn't want to go
when the weather was damp and cloudy but the sun came
out later in the day and it was such a pretty day
so I joined him in the afternoon.

Kenny used the chipper and got a lot of stuff chipped up.
We will use the chips on trails we make.

I worked on getting our little brook free from dead branches and leaves
and moved rocks to the sides to make a nice flowing channel of water.

I saw 4 little snakes while working on the brook.
One just sitting in the water and the other three just by the side of the water.
Here is one of them and they were all the same kind.

During my blog break we got a couple more puzzles done and started
on a third.  Haven't worked much on the third one though and it has
been sitting there for a week.
This one has 504 pieces (odd number of pieces) and was a fun one to do.
This one was another one of those very tightly interlocking ones
that you can pick up and carry around when done.
It had 1000 pieces and I really liked the picture.
Would be nice to have a garden like that.
BettyC if you are reading this I'd like to send you this puzzle.
If you would like it please send me your address in an email.

A happy day to you.

Wow, that's so nice of you. I couldn't find yout email address. Mine is bcrada@msn.com
I'm taking my first vacation all by myself and my dogs. I'm at Chesapeake Beach. It's beautiful here.
I'd love to go to Deep Creek Lake. I booked a place there about 2 years ago. I canceled it because my family couldn't go. This place is close and my daughter's and granddaughters were able to get away for 2 days.
Thank you so much for thinking of me. The puzzle is beautiful

Hi Karen, what lovely photos of HT! You have made it such a wonderful place.
We were cool and cloudy yesterday too but this morning the sun is shining brightly. I am heading out for a walk shortly.
Have a good day.

Hey there, my friend,

I didn't make it by yesterday so thought I'd pop in this morning before leaving for my mom's.

Those puzzles are amazing. I just have to say though...the first one...with the train made my tummy have butterflies just looking at the drop if the train should de-rail. It has been said that I have a very good imagination. lol

The last puzzle of the flowers is very European looking...especially with the window boxes filled with flowers. Reminded me of our time in Switzerland.

I h ope you had a good walk this morning. It isn't supposed to be as warm today as yesterday, but still in the 60's. Have a wonderful day!

Oh, your little stream is delightful! Nothing like the sound of trickling water. You do walk all over town. Good for you!!

I'd rather not see snakes on my travels

Nice shot of the pond. You do walk quite a distance on your walks. I like the Train Puzzle, reminds me of my dad who loved his model train set.
