Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Driving down to Va.

This is the last snow picture from my walk on Sunday.
Hopefully we won't be getting anymore snow but you can never tell.
🌺     🌺     🌺
It's been a busy day.  Left the house at 7:00 and went to church and
picked up the trailer with the finished Romans books and
then went to Staunton, Va to drop them off.
It's 170 miles from home.
The man we were meeting there was tied up and was about an hour late
meeting us there.
I ended up going for a short walk up the road while waiting.
Saw a couple of Killdeers and was able to get a better picture than
the one I took the other day.
This is the new pallet we picked up and brought back to church
and Thursday we will start to assemble this bunch.  There are 20,000
on a pallet and so it will take us a while to get them all done over the
coming months.
Ken got to drive the fork lift.
It was his first time and he did quite well.
On the way home we stopped at a place called Factory Antiques Mall in VA
and they claim to be 'America's Largest Antique Mall.....and still growing.'
I think they may be right.  It is the largest one I've ever seen and
was so big it was overwhelming.
It has 130,000 square feet of antiques all on one floor.
We didn't stay very long but you could spend every day there for a week
and still not see everything.

We left there and got back to church and unloaded the trailer,
picked up a pizza for supper at Little Caesar's and headed home.
After we ate the pizza I went for little walk around town because I was low on
steps today from being in the car so long.

Now I'm off to sit in my chair, eat some ice cream
and watch a Murdoch Mystery.
Probably don't have time to visit with you today
but I'll catch up tomorrow.

A happy day to you.

Rose - That's funny that we did the same puzzle. : )  Yes, I have done one of those mosaic ones, but only one.   The wolf one you are about to do does look hard.  Good luck with it.

Vee - No, the library here in town does not have puzzles to check out.  All these puzzles we have been doing this winter are the ones that Ken got at the auction that he goes to on Friday mornings.  There must have been 20 of them and he got them all for just a few dollars.  That is why some of them have missing pieces and it's no big deal when I toss them.

Dianna - Thanks for the traveling prayers. We are home safe and sound.  : )

It sounds like you had a full and fulfilling day. We have been to Staunton, VA before and stayed at a bed and breakfast there.
That is one big antique mall. I could easily see how you could spend days there. What fun!

Glad you had a safe trip to and from VA. It sure is a worthy cause! By the way, my Facebook and e-mail are both down. Don't know if I'll ever get them back. Your pictures are great!

Yikes, that antique mall would be overwhelming! Glad your trip went well.

I hear forklifts are easy to drive for the most part. My coworkers hate what we call a reach lift which is half the size. They say everything operates backwards

That was a long drive! i'm sure you were glad to stretch your legs and you could certainly have got your steps in around that huge antiques mall!

My, you had a busy day. Most people would have forgone the walking, but not you. I am so proud of you!
God Bless.

Karen, I am so glad that you and Ken have the opportunity to serve the Lord in this way...not only in being a part of the "assembling team" but that you actually deliver and pick up more to do.

That is some antique mall! My goodness! How were the prices? Or were you afraid to look?

Thankful to the Lord for your safe traveling.

I don't know when I will attempt the wolf...I have had it for ages. I would not know how to act with a forklift like that! At the orchard I used to work at they had one that was ANCIENT...and it didn't have brakes...and to go around behind the polebarn the concrete had a slight downhill grade....I always just crept around there when I had to go back there and the owner would just go flying around there...LOL

Oh, but what is scary is one day he had the forks raised up, for something...it was running...and the forks fell. It would have killed either one of us had we been standing under it.
