Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Cold but sunny

A log truck.
We see quite a few of these come rolling through town.
 ðŸŽˆ     🎈     🎈
A chilly morning at 24 degrees with a bit of a wind.
I was very happy to see and feel the sun come up over the mountain.
My usual walk all over town and now that the snow is gone I can walk around
around both cemeteries again.
The cemetery by the Drane house has had a bird nest in the one corner
and today I noticed another one that was just put up in the other corner.
There were swallows in the one last year.
Another quiet morning around town, no one else out walking or running.

Walked 6.2 miles
Found 2 pennies
🎈     🎈     🎈
I did check into the Detective Murdoch books by Maureen Jennings
and though none of the libraries around here have them the library
can get them so I put the first one on reserve.
Except the Dying

We drove down to LaVale this morning to do a couple of errands.

This afternoon we started another puzzle.  There are just three more
left to do from the ones Ken got at the auction and then
I'll be done puzzling until next winter.

Got a bit of work done around the house too and did some
reading.

A happy day to you.

Those log trucks are something else. Carroll was telling me this evening that when he was coming home that traffic was being held up by the trash truck...a very long of cars...and then a log truck came around the turn traveling at a pretty good speed. He said the driver put his brakes on and went skidding before he was able to stop. Thankfully he got stopped before he hit the vehicle in front of him. That would have been quite a chain reaction.

I hope you have a good remainder to your week.

Hi Karen, we enjoyed the sun today too but it was chilly!
It will be interesting to see if any birds use the bird houses at the Drane House.
Hope you enjoy the Murdoch Mystery book!

...log trucks are a common sight for me when I'm in the Adirondack Mountains.

We see a lot of those types of trucks here in the Pacific Northwest. I'm way behind on steps but I've got some good time in for holding a baby!

We have a fair amount of those log trucks, too. I know you must enjoy your walking.

I think I will check on those books at my library too. I love mysteries. I walked tonight...after skipping quite a few days. It felt great to get out and walk. Enjoy your evening and thanks so much for the prayers. Hugs, Diane

With all the walking you do, you must be very thankful that the snow and icy conditions are about finished for this winter.

I love to see the views you see as you walk. Of all the series I have watched, I have not watched the Murdock series...

The log trucks fly down the roads in Wales when we visit and I always feel concern for the sheep.
Have a wonderful Thursday :)
