Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Beautiful sunny winter day

🚜     🚜     🚜
There was no snow coming down this morning when I went for my walk.
It was 16 degrees but sunny and no wind.  It was a beautiful winter morning.
In all my layers I stay nice and warm.

No particular route today, just walked all over town again like yesterday.
Went behind the ball park loop and walked on the trail by the brook.
It is not very long but it is nice back there.
It was so nice to be out walking in the sunshine and Ken was gone all day
so I walked a little bit extra today.
Stopped by the town pond and watched the geese for a little while.
It was one of those days when I could have walked and walked and I finally
told myself to go home.
Walked 8.2 miles
⛅     ⛅     ⛅
I got started on the next puzzle and got all the pieces set out and the border done
and the moon in the picture done too.

Did a few chores around the house and almost finished reading my current
book.  I'll finish it later after I eat supper and before Ken gets back home.

Usually make pancake when Ken is gone but I'm having left over pizza tonight
which I'll be having in a little while.

Though our water feature is mostly frozen as you can see, there
is still some water coming down the stones.
Who would have believed last week when it was 70 degrees
that today it would be 16.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else though.  😊

A happy day to you.

That was a gorgeous day! Did your extra long walk take about 2 1/2 hours?
I have to say your water feature is beautiful with the frozen rivulets!
Happy weekend!

Weather does like to jump or in this case leap

Your water feature is so pretty, Karen. We didn't have any snow today either. We had a light dusting overnight, but that was all. In fact, Carroll cut a load of firewood this afternoon. Loved the sunshine!

I'll look forward to seeing the puzzle when it is finished.

I would totally agree with you that you seem to live in a perfect place. I would love all that snow coming down and those beautiful blue, blue skies.

Such beautiful views! Love the water feature in its frozen state!

Oh that blue sky looks so lovely. It seems that the snow makes the sky look even more richly coloured.

That is quite the swing in temps, but it is the same everywhere on the East Coat anyway...we've all dropped like a stone. Eight point two miles? Good heavens, Karen. 🏃🏻‍♀️(Should put some layers on her.)

Yes I feel I wouldn't want to live anywhere other than where I live to.

You live in a beautiful area. When you mention places, I go down memory lane,
At 16*, how do you keep your face warm?
Thanks for sharing your life.

Hi Karen, I love how your water feature looks in this cold weather. Very pretty!
We had a chilly walk yesterday morning with brilliant sunshine too.
Have a nice Sunday.

Your water feature looks quite stunning, very beautiful. It was good to see the sun shining, it looked lovely against the snow xx

Such a pretty water feature, even half frozen. I love the sound of trickling water. 16 degrees just sounds so unbelievably cold but when you're dressed for it, it must have been a lovely walk. Have a lovely day!

Beautiful snow pictures. Interesting money facts, we're having a few changes in ours - a new plasticky feeling £5 note was brought out recently. It has caused a bit of commotion because it contains a small amount of animal product. It feel horrible and creases so badly that automatic tills won't accept it (that happened to me in the Post office). We are also getting a new £1 coin, 12 sided instead of round and made of 2 metals. This is to deter forgeries. Current estimation is that 1 in 13 £1 coins is a forgery.
