Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A change in weather, AGAIN!

⛄     ⛄     ⛄
Our sunny spring like weather has disappeared today and winter has returned.
34 degrees this morning and lots of snow when I walked.
Windy too and at times the snow was quite intense.
It was all so pretty though and I did enjoy my walk.
Didn't see anyone else out and school must have been cancelled
because I didn't even see any school buses.
I walked 6.1 miles.
 Pictures along my walk.

 ⛄     ⛄     ⛄
Today was a good day to get that house cleaning done that I put off
all week.  I was busy cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting,
and got everything done.
Nice to know that I can still get everything done in one day
when I want to.

It snowed pretty much all day and the temperature has been dropping.

The latest book I'm reading is The Brutal Telling by Louise Penny
and I'm liking this one too.  It's number 5 in the Chief Inspector
Gamache series.

We've been watching a television show on Netflix called
The Murdoch Mysteries.
It is a Canadian show set in Toronto in 1895
and Detective William Murdoch introduces some modern techniques
to crime solving.
I've just learned that the show is based on the Detective Murdoch series of
books by Maureen Jennings.  I'll have to see if the library has any of them.
I'm liking the show a lot, Ken not so much but he does watch them with me.

And so another day winds down.

Hope your day was a happy one.

SNOW
Oh, what is as lovely as flakes of snow
That float through the air as the wind doth blow?
They settle to earth, these beautiful flakes,
On hilltops and valleys, rivers and lakes....
Out in the country, where the snow stays white,
It glistens in beauty, a lovely sight.......

Oh my.That snow is so beautiful, even when we would rather be seeing green grass at this time of year. Thanks for sharing these gorgeous scenes.

Beautiful shots of your snowy walk. Believe it or not they are predicting snow here on Sunday.
How good that must feel to have your house all cleaned in time for the weekend.

Your snow shots are beautiful. Isn't it funny how it's the housework which always comes in second when we have a choice of activities. My son and his wife will be arriving in a few weeks and I need to do an autumn clean' as the spring clean never happened :)

Certainly is pretty! We had nice weather and snow just like that, but now it's all melted and it was beautiful today. You got some great photos!

The snow is so lovely! I know we get tired of it. We haven't had much, but we usually get a big dump in March or April.

Wow Karen, you really got hit! Nothing here. So glad you are enjoying Murdoch Mysteries! One of this seasons episodes was partially shot in our little town.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Beautiful snow photos! There is such a beauty and crispness to new fallen snow. I've seen a few Murdoch Mysteries. Quite different from Poirot and Miss Marple. I liked them and have them in my Netflix queue. Enjoy your snow!

Oh my goodness . . . these photos are beautiful and would make great Christmas cards, but it's not Christmas! It's almost Spring! I think you need to have a serious talk with your weatherman, LOL.

Wasn't that snow just so beautiful? We had a good bit more here at our house than they had at Bruceton this time. Carroll and I left yesterday (Friday) afternoon to go to Grantsville. We spent the night at The Casselman there in the Inn itself as part of our anniversary celebrating 45 years. By the time we went downstairs for dinner last evening it was snowing pretty good again. It was absolutely beautiful. I hear we are to have more Monday night through Tuesday!
It won't last long. The robins were flying everywhere when we left yesterday trying to find a place to land. :)

I love how strong you must be. Cleaning your entire house after that long walk in the snow. The pictures are gorgeous.

Beautiful snow shots! We had dramatic weather changes here as well - mid 70's on Thursday and mid-20s by yesterday. Mary and I really enjoy the Murdoch Mysteries. We've watched them all. Some are really ingenious.
