Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Rain, Bowling, Coloring

Took this picture a few days ago when we still had snow and it was sunny.
🌻     🌻     🌻
A warm 38 degrees and rain rain rain this morning on my walk.
First walked to the post office and to drop a letter down the mail slot.
Then just walked all over town.
No special route again just every which way I felt like going at the time.
No one else about again either.
I stopped here for just a bit to just look at the pond and listen
to the rain on my umbrella.
It is one of my favorite sounds.
Walked 6.2 miles

A good day to spend inside the bowling alley having fun with friends.
Bettye hit a new record with her score of 124.
🏆 Good Job Bettye.🎳

Do you like to color?
I've always liked to color.  It was one of my favorite things to do with
my kids and grandkids when they were little.
Nice now that they have adult books to color.
Here's my latest picture.
A smile from me to you. 😊

Ken said he liked my Karen's Kitchen blog because
it is like a menu and now he can go there and pick something for dinner.
I know I've posted this quote before but it is one of my favorites.

"If someone were to pay you 10 cents for every kind word
you said about people and collect 5 cents for every unkind word,
would be you be rich or poor?"

Robin - Not a chicken at the barn door.  A fake hawk.  Maybe to keep birds from going up in the loft?

I love your coloring picture. I haven't done much adult coloring, but loved it as a child. My oldest daughter has been getting into it - she find it very therapeutic and I sent her an adult coloring book and nice set of colored pencils for Christmas. Hope the rest of your week goes well. :-)

Wow! Green grass. Our grass is buried under several feet of snow and it sounds like another storm is on it's way.The sound of rain is so relaxing.

Hi Karen, thanks for answering my question. I wondered how a chicken would be up there!.
It looks like we have about the same snow. We had a rainy, mild day yesterday too. It was a good day to stay in. I caught up on my baking.
I haven't done any colouring since my nanny days. I am afraid I am not very good at it! Yours is beautiful.

Very pretty picture you have colored. I loved coloring as a kid, but haven't picked up on the adult version. I do often see the coloring books in stores.
Love your first photo today. Very pretty with the blue skies and snow covered ground.
I'm off to check out your cooking blog now.

That first photo is lovely.

There is something good about rain pitter-pattering on an umbrella or against a window pane.

All the best Jan
