This barn is owned by Josh and Jolen Custer.
The barn was started in 1930 and completed in 1933.
The lumber used to build the barn came from trees on the property.
Four generations have worked the farm on Bittinger Rd located in Swanton, MD.
The quilt square is called The Snail's Trail, or as some call it Virginia Reel.
The square was sponsored by Dolores and Hugh Andrew.
This square was chosen because it is the design on the barn of
Donna Sue Groves, who is the founder of this nationwide project.

24 degrees when I walked at 6:45 this morning.
Walked all over town and around both cemeteries and the ball park loop.
Walked up Barn Sale to see the cows up that way.
They didn't even look up but just kept eating.
Kathy was out walking and she was the only person I saw out walking.
Pretty quite around town.
I did see a whole bunch of Mallard Ducks on a farm pond and I'm
hoping that is where Mr Duck from the doctors ended up.
Walked 6.3 miles

I put some beef stew ingredients in the slow cooker and we left for
Happy Trails to do some work for the day.
Got more of the slab siding up on the cabin.
Sorry no pictures today.
Nice to come home and have some nice hot stew for supper.
I've finished the latest baby blanket for Blankets for Babies, a church project.
This blanket is knitted in the ripple stitch.
It's been a good day.
