Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Money cupcakes

🚜     🚜     🚜     🚜
Had fun playing Mexican Train last night.
If you have never played it you can read about it HERE.

Started walking at 7:45 this morning and though the sun wasn't up yet it
wasn't dark out.  Sunrise was at 7:51.  It was 31 degrees.

Since it wasn't dark I decided to walk the Farm Loop.
Nice to walk that way for a change.
It has been longer than I thought since I walked this route because
this house has popped up here since I've been here last.
Still more work before people move in but I was surprised to see this much done.
The house is on a smallish lot but right next door is a farm
and these horses were over by the fence.
Once I got back to the main road I went to the industrial park
and walked around there.  I saw another woman walking there,
one who I've never seen before.  We said hi and good morning as we passed by each other.  This is the first time I've seen any one else walking there ever.

Then walked home.
Walked 6 miles
Found a penny

After breakfast I got busy baking cupcakes.  Six dozen of them.
These aren't just any old cupcakes though.  I've made them for the kids
at Sunday School for tomorrow.
It is a special day for them because these are money cupcakes.
Inside each cupcake is money.  A $1, $5, or $10 bill.
The money is folded up and wrapped in tin foil, put in the bottom
of the cupcake paper and then the batter is poured over them.
Then  baked as usual.
Most of the cupcakes have $1 and just a couple have the big bucks.
They do this once a year in Sunday School.  I baked the cupcakes last year too.

Another nice sunny day though a bit cooler than yesterday
but still a good day for getting more laundry done.

After lunch we went for a ride to find more quilt barns for Mondays
Quilt Barn posts.  We got four more so I'm set for another month.

Home for a nice quiet evening.
Life is Good
A happy day to you.

Perfect cupcakes! Sweetness and money both. The ground in the horse photo looks like snow. I'm sure you are happy being able to walk in the daylight now. Have a great evening.

Interesting how the bills can survive the temperatures

Hi, Love the idea of the Money Cupcakes... Are the children asked to find a way to help someone with their money --instead of spending it on themselves? Great mission project for them...

You all have already had some fairly cold temperatures up there. BUT--I'll bet that is normal for you this time of year. We still haven't had much cold weather at all. Even our Hostas are trying to get new Spring growth.. Everything is confused.... We still haven't had any rain either --so it's been a crazy Fall for us...

Love seeing the Quilt barns.... Glad you found some more.

Hugs,
Betsy
