Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Good Fences and Happy Thanksgiving

TexWisGirl is retiring her blog after today
so this will be the last Good Fences with her.
Thanks for hosting for all those Thursdays.

What a difference in temperature from yesterday morning.
Today it was 44 degrees.  Rained a bit over night and this morning it was just wet but was supposed to rain so I took along my umbrella.

Walked the Farm Loop and since it didn't rain the whole time, as I passed by
my house afterward I dropped off my umbrella and then continued walking
around town.  I got to the other end of town and it started raining!!  Not hard though so I just got a little damp by the time I got home.

As expected there was no one else out early this Thanksgiving morning
and just a few cars.

Walked 6.3 miles

Just a quiet Thanksgiving here at our house, just Ken and I.
We aren't even have turkey but having ham instead.
Still it will be a nice day and we are thankful for all our many blessings.

The second jigsaw puzzle is turning out to be pretty hard.  Not much in the
way of different colors.  This one may take a while.

Wonderful fences and great list of thankfuls! I've got to get your walking inspiration in my head! I have to be careful when I buy my dear old pop puzzles that the colors are good enough for him to see. Happy Thanksgiving to you!

I'm thankful for you too, Karen and for the love that you and Ken share among all your friends. Every place is better when you are there! We had lunch at my daughter's. We didn't go to a lot of trouble, but enjoyed talking, laughing and eating together. Especially enjoyed pecan pie!
