Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Cheese cake

🍁     🍂     🌰
44 degrees this morning when I headed out the door at 6:30 in the dark.
It felt like the middle of the night.
I could see the stars.

Had my usual walk all around town, up and down all the streets,
the cemeteries and the ball park.
One of the older grave stones I could find that I could still read.
Such a shame that there are so many that can't be read.
This picture I took leaving the cemetery heading back to the main road.
Kathy was out walking and we passed each other a couple times.
Didn't stop for a chat today, just a sentence as we walked by each other.

Walked 6.4 miles
Didn't find many coins this month. (too dark to see any)
 1 nickel and 6 pennies
A grand total of 11 cents
💰     💰     💰     💰
Bowling day has rolled around again.
There were 6 of us there today.
My bowling today was good but not great.
No record breaking scores.
Didn't go anywhere after bowling so was home by 3:30.

Ken's birthday is Wednesday and every year I bake him a cheese
cake and I did that after supper.
Here it is just before I put it in the oven
where it is right now.
I'm sure we will be eating it tomorrow, a day early.
😊
A happy day to you.

Loved seeing "Pass it On." I think that's a hymn(?)

The trees are beautiful, and neat that you found 11 cents!

It is sad when gravestones become hard to read. An old stone belonging to one of my family members had a lot of words engraved on it. We were wondering what it said, so my sister traced the words out on paper...and we were able to figure it out!

Cheesecake, yum!!! I love the poem at the end, too. HOPE your hubby had a great birthday. Question? Do you ever get scared on your walks, especially in the dark? I'm just a big scaredy cat, apparently. ;-)
