Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Work continues up at HT.

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
Another morning with a temperature of 72 degrees.  But this time it was sunny with just a few clouds and I didn't get rained on.  Wouldn't have minded the rain to cool me off again.

This picture of the sky is NOT of the sunrise.  The sunrise was directly behind me.
This was the just the sun shining on the clouds.
I walked the Farm Loop this morning.
Farmer Bill was out and we had a little chat.

I saw 4 deer.  A buck and two does and then later I saw a fawn on it's own.
All of them were by corn fields.

Nor many cars about on a Saturday morning.
I walked for 2 1/2 miles before I saw the first car and it was the State Police.

Once I got back to the main road there were more cars.
Walked around by the industrial park.
Though it doesn't look like it from the picture I'm up on a hill and took a picture of looking down at part of the town.
 Walked 6.2 miles.
Sunrise 6:28
Sunset 8:15

Back up to Happy Trails right after breakfast to get some more cabin work done.
We had a break in the middle of the day.
We ran out of nails and drove back to town to the hardware store to get some more.
They didn't have the kind we needed and the lumber yard in town closes at 12:00 so we had to go down to Lowe's.
They cost more money there but we did get what we needed.
While on our break we had lunch at Subway and stopped at McDonald's and had 49 cent ice cream cones.
Then back to Happy Trails and to work.

We got more paneling up.  Finished the bedroom area and got the lower part of the front wall done.
It was hard to get a decent picture because of the door.
Where you see insulation on the lower part doesn't get paneling on it.
We have another idea for that.
We usually quit working about 3:30 or 4:00 but stayed until 5:30 because we had a big break in the middle of the day.

When I got home I mowed the lawn.  Didn't really feel like it but it sure needed it and by Monday it would have been really long.

Remember that pizza homemade pizza we made last week?
We made two and had the second one tonight.
Nice not having to cook supper too.

It's been another busy day.
Hope your day has been a happy one.

That is a beautiful picture of the birds at the bottom. The cabin is really coming on, it looks like a lot of work getting done.

The secret is to have a very HOT oven and to put the pizza dough directly on a pizza stone in the oven. The oven and the stone should be preheated together. Give it a try. : )

Your cabin is coming along so well.

I like pizza, especially made with a cauliflower crust!

Enjoy the remainder of Sunday and all good wishes for the new week ahead

All the best Jan

Oh I like the way that you are finishing off the interior. Looks great! Wish I could give you a whole bunch of nails. I certainly have loads of them...five fity-pound boxes for starters.

I really must mow my lawn if I could just get the danged mower started. Will have to call someone for help!

Oh cauliflower crust. That sounds good.

That's a lot of nails. Ken would love them. We needed little finishing ones that go in his nail gun.
You need to get a lawn mower like mine. : ) If I lived near you, I'd mow the lawn for you!!

I look so forward to your posts . . . the farmer's fields and the rural roads are just breathtaking. The only thing wrong with these pictures is that I'm not there walking and enjoying it with you, LOL I'm very pleased that you carry your camera with you, you live in such a beautiful area. Your cabin is coming along wonderfully . . . how exciting!
Have a great day.
Connie :)

Your panelling is lovely, can't wait to see the finished cabin :)

Hi There, Glad you can still walk --and don't have the heat and humidity we have. We haven't been walking as much since it's so miserably hot here this summer. I'm truly NOT a summer person.

Your Happy Trails cabin is looking SO good... I've enjoyed watching that cabin/area evolve since you first bought the land...

Hugs,
Betsy
