A peach

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
It rained quite a bit last night but by morning it had stopped and was just cloudy.  The temperature was 65 and it was a bit humid.  There was a breeze so it wasn't bad.

Walked the Farm Loop today.  I start out walking down the main road where though there is never a lot of traffic there is some and the cars go pretty fast and it is noisy. Then when I turn off for the FL it turns peaceful in an instant.

I was walking about a mile past Farmer Bill's farm when a car pulled up along side of me and it was Farmer Bill.  He handed me a peach and told me to let it sit for a day or two before eating it to let it soften up.  It was hard not to take a bite out of it as I walked.
We chatted for a bit too and when I told him I was a bit warm this morning he said he liked to sweat.  He put it this way, "It's like getting a shower from the inside out."  I'd never heard it put the way before. : )
Once I got back to town I made a loop around and saw Kathy walking around town.  She asked me about the peach.

Walked 6.2 miles.

Ken went off to Happy Trails again (I'm going tomorrow) and I stayed home.  Baked more cookies. This time I baked some German Chocolate Cookies.  The recipe is on
this post.  Have all 20 dozen cookies now finished and ready for Monday for the kids.

I found these shelves in the attic where my mom lived and cleaned them up and Ken said he would hang them on the wall for me.  I think I'd like to put two in the dining room and the other three in the back sitting room.  Will post pictures when they get up on the wall.
I've been rearranging the front room again today.  I like to change things up every so often.  It's a fun thing for me to do.

Well, that's my day so far.
A happy day to you.

Your small town life just gets sweeter and sweeter. Farmer Bill giving you that peach restores my faith in mankind :). He has a positive way of looking at sweat. Somehow I don't feel quite as fresh and clean with that type of shower.
Your cookie baking skills are most impressive and the kids at your church are lucky.
Can't wait to see what you do with the shelves. I like to re-arrange things too. Mostly knick knacks as opposed to furniture.

I prefer a regular shower too. : )
Ken put up the shelves this evening. Pictures will be posted tomorrow.

I used to rearrange the rooms every season. Where I live now, the furniture only fits one way and im so tired of it. Ha.
Funny you mentioned a peach, make sure you read my next post!
