When I started my walk this morning it was 68 degrees, cloudy and breezy. It was supposed to rain and it sure got dark and looked like it but it never did while I was walking.Walked over to the post office first to mail a card and then walked all over town, around both cemeteries, the ball park and down by the Drane house.
Pretty quiet around town today and didn't see anyone else out walking. Did spot this mama deer and her baby though. She snorted and stamped her foot at me before running off.
One of the houses for sale in town that was 'by owner' I noticed now has a realtor for sale sign on it now.
I walked 6.1 miles.

No bowling for us today. We did an errand for church. After breakfast we drove up to Duncansville, PA to pick up some more scriptures to put together for the Fingerprints Ministry at church. It's one hour 45 minutes drive one way. Here we are back at church in the barn unloading. We had them covered with a double tarp and it was a good thing because we went through some rain. It was crazy weather. One minute it was nice and the next it was pouring down rain that you could hardly see and then out the sun came again.
We got back home a little after 5:00. After supper we went outback and put some of the crushed rock from yesterday between and around the stone path after first getting all the weeds out. Eventually crushed rock will go out farther where you can see the dirt now.
It's been a long day and I'm looking forward to my ice cream later. : )
A happy day to you.

When I first saw the picture of the doe and her fawn I thought she was dancing for you. Enjoy your ice cream tonight.
Your backyard is really looking good. That is so great that you are able to help out so much at church - it is always good to be doing God's work. I haven't been on line reading blogs too much lately because I am so busy with helping my daughter with her kids here in Philadelphia. Hope all is going well for you. Enjoy the rest of the week!
I especially like the picture of the deer. It's neat how you caught the stomping action.
Love the horse photo Karen. You had a very busy day. Your stone path looks lovely.
I loved your photos of the deer and horses.
Your stone path is truly amazing :)
Hello, I love the horse, deer and fawn and your pretty stone path. We have had a few thunder storms and a little rain lately. Great quote! Have a happy day and week ahead!
Your pictures are ALWAYS so good. That backyard...wow...what an awesome job y'all are doing...looks great. Just got back from a walk and it's sooooo humid. Looking forward to crisp fall mornings not too far away.
Your pics are beautiful! I love the deers. So great to see. Have you found an icecream?
Love the horses! That stone path is gorgeous!
Lovely to see the horses and deer on your walk! That was quite a truck load of scripture and I hope it reaches many needy souls!
The pathway is looking great already!
Hi Happyone, I'm not really that much of a horse fan, but your first photo makes me think I should rethink that. Wow, what a great shot of the horses. In earlier posts I really liked the birdhouse and the pictures of Ken's garden. It is just a delight to be following your blog and see all that you and Ken are doing at Happy Trails and also with your gardens.
Great photos of the horses and deer. That's so sweet how the mama deer was protecting baby.
That sounds like a wild ride you had, but glad to see that your load safe and sound.
Your stone path looks really nice.
When we moved into our house we didn't have an ice cream scooper. My wife made sure I knew that several different times .
Its always exciting to see who will move into homes in the neighborhood. I love that stone path!
