Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.

Sad News

Last evening my step-dad passed from this world to his new home in Heaven.
Ken, I, Chris and Vickie were all with him when he took his last breath.
We were singing hymns as he went to meet his Lord.
Though we are so very sad that he had to leave us
we are comforted knowing that he is now in no pain
and enjoying life in Heaven.

  6. My love and prayers are with you and the family. I thought --when you all were called back to New York ---that things must be grave for your step father... As hard as it is, I know that you know that he is now out of pain and in the arms of Jesus. That is GOOD... God Bless.

    Hugs,
    Betsy
