Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Grandma

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
Woke up this morning to a thunder storm and didn't think it a good idea to walk in it so no morning walk today.

After breakfast we headed back to church and worked on the Fingerprint Ministry putting the book of Romans in Spanish together.  As usual I worked on a staple machine which is my favorite part to do.  For those new to reading my blog click HERE to learn about the Fingerprint Ministry.  Worked at the church from 9:00 to 12:30.

It's been a cloudy day all day with periods of misty rain.  I did a little more weeding in the afternoon.

After supper I went for just a short 2 1/2 mile walk.  Not a long walk but it felt good to at least get a little walk in.
The bunny is sitting in the parking lot of the library.
Kathy, if you are reading this, does this quilted table runner look familiar?  It is the one you made for my mother in 2004.  : )
The other day I posted a picture of my grandmother (mom's mom) and said I didn't think it looked like her.  This is how I picture my grandmother when I think of her. : )
And that ends my post for today.
Hope your day was a happy one.

Love that quote at the end -- every child should feel that kind of love and acceptance. Don't you love the apron she's wearing? They were so common back then, and they did such a good job.

Love reading all of your posts and enjoy all your pictures. I remember Grandma like she is in the picture too. I miss her.

The photo of your grandma looks a lot like mine. She was always so loving. She'd draw pictures for me to color. She'd cut the crusts of my sandwiches. I remember sitting in her home and listening to her records of Tennessee Ernie Ford and the Lennon Sisters. I'm glad you were able to get your walk in, even if it was short. Have a great day.

Glad you were able to get a walk in. When I take a 2 1/2 mile walk, I feel like I've really done something. Ha!
That is a nice photo of your grandma. I don't think I see a resemblance either. Love the quote. That is the type of grandma I strive to be.

Hello, the weather has been so stormy lately. I have not been walking outside. Your grandmother was pretty, I always enjoyed going to see my grandmother. Great quote.
Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!

Just look at that sweet grandmother! I wish we would get some storms or at least a little rain here. Our temps have been in the high 90's and dry.
