Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

A sunny walk

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
Well the snow is all gone except for little patches here and there.  It was 46 degrees and dark when I left on my walk this morning.  After a mile or so it started to rain so before I got too wet I went home and changed into my rain pants and slicker.  Left again and no sooner got to the end of the driveway and it stopped raining, but didn't bother going back because I thought it might start again.  But no, the sun finally came out and it was a beautiful morning.  Ended up carrying the rain slicker.

Walked all over town, up and down all the streets, around both cemeteries and the ball park loop.

Nice to hear all the birds out singing and I saw a couple of rabbits hopping about off to the right in the picture on the side.

At the day care center, which is on the other side of the curved fence of which I like to take pictures, a woman was outside with a couple of kids and as I walked by she came over to the fence and we had a little chat.  Said she sees me walking all over the place and asked me the usual questions.  She was very nice and her name is Caroline.

Went a little ways up Sale Barn Rd to say hi to the cows.  They all looked up but then went back to eating, all except this guy, who came over to see me.  He's been walking in the mud.  Look at his dirty feet!
 Walked 6.3 miles.

Mid morning it clouded up and we've had rain showers all day.  After a late start I got a good bit of house work done today.  Managed to get a little reading in too.

We just got back from eating supper at Annie's here in town.  We each had a turkey club and brought half of it home.
The rain has stopped and it is very foggy now.  The only nice weather was when I walked.
Hope all is well in your world.

Don't you love to be able to get your walk in before the bad weather hits? What a blessing. I really like the road picture!

Beautiful photos Karen. Most of our snow is gone too, but it has stayed chilly. The cows look like they have a good life living in your beautiful area!
Have a good day.

It's always nice when the sun comes out again! Lovely light over the fields !
I did smile at the cow's muddy socks!
Can I ask how long it takes you to walk 6 miles? I would like to walk more each day. At the minute I walk just about 2 miles & wonder how I can fit more in!

Your walks are always interesting. I just walk in circles of my neighborhood. Nothing ever new except the clouds.

Such pretty cows! I like it that you spread sunbeams on your long walks, stopping to talk to folks. So dear.
