Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Great Walking Weather

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿
What beautiful walking weather this morning.  45 degrees, just a slight breeze and sunny.  It doesn't get any better than that.  Just out in a long sleeve tee shirt and a sweat shirt and no hat.  This is my favorite walking weather.

Started my walk by going to the library and dropping off a book in the book drop.  Library in town here doesn't open until 11:00.

Walking past the bank a man was getting out of his truck to go to the ATM and said to me, "Having fun yet?"  I smiled and said, "Oh, yes, I enjoy my morning walk."  He returned the smile and said, "I thought so, I see you every morning."

There used to be a house here on this lot when we first moved here 2 1/2 years ago.  No one was living there and it was soon knocked down.  The foundation was filled in and most all of the debris was hauled away but it was just an empty messy lot.  I noticed that it has been cleaned up and wonder if another house is planning to be built.  I'll just have to wait and see.
I've heard that when a horse lies down it means that he is not well but I'm pretty sure that is just an old wives tale.  I hope it is anyway, because today Star was lying down and didn't get up to see me.
Stopped to talk to George in town.  He told me his grandchild number 4 was born last week and number 5 is due this week. : )
Dave was walking around the pond in town and another lady was out walking around the parking lot waiting for a ride.  She mentioned what a beautiful morning is was for my walk and she too said she sees me every day.

I'm pretty sure the next bunch of days are going to be just like this one. : )
Walked 6.2 miles.
Oh yeah, by the way my blister was pretty much gone, but I did put one of those blister band aids on just to be sure.  Those things are fantastic and even with a blister you can still walk.  Check out an old post of mine to see what I use. BAND-AID.

We usually meet at the bowling alley, have lunch there and then bowl.  Today we did something a little bit different.  We met at Denny's first and had a pancake lunch and then went to bowl.  I had blueberry pancakes.
No record breaking bowling today.  115, 127 and my last game was only 104.
Still it was fun and nice to be out with friends. : )

Did the usual shopping after bowling at Walmart.  The one thing I miss moving here, is not having the commissary.

I've not had ice cream the last couple of days and I'm going to try to just eat ice cream 2 days a week.  I've gained a few pounds and need to lose them!!

It's been another nice warm day.  Already some people are wearing shorts and tee shirts!!

Hope your day has been happy and you've smiled often.

We had springlike weather here today, too! Wonder how long it will last! It's great that you walk six miles every day. I was out and about today for errands and a bit of Easter basket shopping. It was great to be out! Enjoy your evening!

The weather you describe sounds perfect.I am waiting for nicer weather here and the ice to be gone and then I want to start walking again.

I'm loving this perfect walking weather also, Karen! It feels good to get out there and be moving! Your snow pictures from the last few days have been amazing.

I think there is a sale this Friday night. I'm not certain if we will get to go or not because of a commitment to do something for my father-in-law. But thought you might want to check the website to make certain of the date and time.

I actually forgot my wife wanted me to go bowling with her tomorrow. It's been a few months since.

Sounds like your walking not only makes you happy, but all those you see along the way. Hope the horse lying down is just an old wives tale.

Hello, the weather is beautiful for your walking. It is nice to meet your neighbors while out walking. I hope the horse Star is OK. Have a happy day!

That does sound like ideal walking weather. I don't know much about horse behavior, but I do hope all is well with Star.
It will be interesting too see what becomes of the vacant lot.
I think you will lose those extra pounds in no time flat, especially with the beautiful weather calling your name.

I too remember what our teacher told me when she was teaching Black Beauty (about horse lying down)
Lovely pics.

Don't worry about horses lying down. It's usually a sign that they are relaxed and enjoying the sunshine. Love your snow pictures.

You finally have pictures without snow! You got quite a bit the previous week.
