Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

An unexpected visit

✿     ✿     ✿     ✿

My body hasn't gotten used to the time change yet and I'm still waking up to the old time so once again I started my walk an hour later.  I guess it doesn't help that it is another rainy day.  44 degrees with varying degrees of rain all through my walk.  Glad I had on my rain gear.

Walked through town and up Sale Barn to say good morning to the cows but they were up in the woods and didn't came down.

There are some huge ornamental grasses that grow on the side of the road here that are way taller than me.  Every spring the owners burn them down.  It must be good for them because they always grow up good and healthy.

The rabbit from the other day that I wasn't sure if it was dead or just trying to hide from me was in fact just hiding because I went back to the spot and there was no sign of him.  : )

I continued my walk all around town and I did see Peggy out again this morning.  Glad to see her back to walking again.

Walked 6.2 miles.

The morning zipped right along and before I knew it, it was time to leave for bowling.  Back to having lunch at the bowling alley before bowling.  There were 6 of us today.
Bowled two not so good games and a good one.

Home now and deciding what we should have for supper.
Just got a text from our son David.  He's on his way here and should arrive this evening.  Hope he plans on staying a few days. : )

A happy day to you.

Yay for a sweet visit! I love the geese! They poop all over the parks and soccer fields here but I still like seeing them.

Beautiful photo capture of the geese. We see them here taking over the ball field at the school up the road. We laugh because they will be practicing in that field soon and, well, you know.
