Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

visitors

A couple of visitors stopped by for a bite to eat.

☃     ☃     ☃     ☃
Another cold wintry morning so another inside walk.  Got all 6 miles in.  I do like winter but I think I'm about ready for spring about now.  : )
Finished the puzzle.
Also finished the latest weave-it baby blanket,
and have started another.
Completed the first 7 squares.
I wish I could find room for this old white cabinet in the kitchen but there is just no room.  It has been down in the basement and today Ken helped me bring it upstairs and it now sits in my office/craft room.
Wasn't going to start another puzzle but it looks like winter is going to be with us for a while yet so after we took the latest puzzle apart we picked out another one to do.  The next one is an easy one after Noah's.  Just 500 pieces and a nice bright one of hot air balloons.  Got the boarder done already.

Stayed in the house all day, didn't even go out to restock the bird feeders.  It's been a cold snowy day but there really hasn't been any more accumulation.  Now though I can hear sleet on the windows.  A good day to stay inside.

Last night for my snack I ate some Valentine cookies which were very good but tonight I'm back to my ice cream.

Just think under all this snow and frozen earth the spring flowers are waiting to brighten our days.  : )

A happy day to you.
happyone : )
No matter how long the winter,
spring is sure to follow.

I love your visitors! That puzzle looks like a fun one. I finished a puzzle today too! Do you only work on puzzles in the winter? I love your white cabinet - perfect for your office. I also love those weave-it squares and the baby blanket. Guess I love everything about this post. Stay warm in all that snow!

The deer are so pretty. I love it when they come up close. Most of the time Eli's barking keeps them away. Poppy and I are hooked on ice cream!! I had chocolate peanut butter tonight!

The puzzle is very pretty. Have you ever kept one as a picture? I know some one who does that - not sure how they glue all the pieces together. How lovely to see deer in your yard. I'm glad you have a roomy basement to walk during those days. Have a great day.

Your photos of the deer are lovely Karen. Good shots! Your baby blanket looks beautiful. We are under a winter storm watch here today so no walking for us! I love your white cabinet. Looks great in your office. I am ready for spring too.

Love the pictures of the deer. I worry about critters during the hard winter months. Here in our area (and even in the nearby Smokies) --our trees didn't produce many nuts/acorns last fall --and all of the wildlife are struggling trying to find food... Sad.

We never ever have snow like you all do... In fact, yesterday --we had nothing but rain-rain-rain here... Unbelievable how much rain we got. BUT--I thank God that it is not ICE this year (like last year).

Hugs,
Betsy

Those deer are cute! Sorry it's so cold, good walker.
Valentine cookies instead of ice cream? A nice change, I'm sure.
That IS a cute cabinet. It's hard finding spots for stuff when we have so many old and cherished pieces of furniture, isn't it? Notice I didn't say fine antiques. Ha ha!
Take care, K! I hope you can get outside tomorrow.

I really think it's cool that we grow tired of one season and eager for the next. Seems as if that's a good thing. Oh my! The deer are right there and up close. I see a deer once in a decade or so around my home.
