Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Morning Snow

 ☃     ☃     ☃     ☃
The weather report last night said we might get a few flurries and we did.   It was 25 degrees and snowing this morning when I walked.  At least it was snow and I didn't get wet.  It is nice walking in falling snow. : )

Walked one of my around town routes and didn't see anyone else out.  Waved to the usual buses, cars, and trucks, that I see most days.

Saw a few rabbits hopping around at one of the cemeteries.
A few pictures along my walk.

Walked 6.3 miles.
 ☃     ☃     ☀     ☀
The snow stopped around lunch time and in the afternoon the sun came out, it went up to 39 degrees and all the snow is now gone.

  • I worked on the puzzle for a time and surprisingly it isn't as hard as it looks.
  • Sewed some weave-it squares together and now I'm half finished with the blanket.
  • Knitted a few rows on the pink blanket I'm making for myself.
  • Read some too.
That's been my day.  Tomorrow I'd better get some work done. : )

Ken is out at a meeting at church and I'll be waiting for him to get home before having ice cream.

Hope your Saturday has been a happy day for you.

I don't see many rabbits where I live. Last one I saw hopped through my backyard. It was small enough to go through a chain-linked fence. Pretty safe near my dog. She's got cataracts, so she couldn't catch them if she wanted to.

I thought your puzzle looked reasonably difficult but sounds like you'll finish it more quickly than you thought. Good for you walking in the snow, i know I struggle to go out if it is raining.

Love your snow photos. I can't imagine walking in that cold! I guess I've turned into a whimp. Glad to hear that the puzzle is working well.

Hi Karen, I don’t feel like I’m a very good follower because I don’t check your blog daily and give you a comment. Despite that, I love your blog and always want to check out your posts when the blogosphere comes into focus. When I do get back here and check out your posts, one thing is for sure: Your photography and your ability to spot a scene and capture the beauty is way above average! Photos I enjoyed from recent posts: Walking in the snow, The Stream (Feb 3), Moon in shot near sunrise (Feb 2), Pond (Feb 1), Red Shed, (Jan 29), Snow (Jan 28), Road to the Cemetery – Wow! (Jan 26), All of them on Jan 23. Your current header is awesome too. I truly admire your ability to post daily and do such a good job with it. Also, thank you kindly for your comments on my blog.
