Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Hanging On

A picture from the other day.
Oak leaves still hanging on.

39 degrees this morning, windy but dry. : )
Walked one of my town routes.  A rare day that I don't take any pictures of my walk but this was one of them.

I saw 4 deer in a backyard leaping over a fence, or more like springing over a fence.  Sometimes they look like they have springs on their feet.

The runner was back again running around the loop by the ball park.

I don't have to go to the post office any more to drop off a Netflix.  We got a new television which has Netflix right on it so we can now get it by streaming so don't have to get the DVD's in the mail.

I walked 6.3 miles.
Found a penny.

We took a ride down to LaVale to do little shopping and check out the new Aldi's that has just opened recently.  Have heard a lot about them but never been in one before and can't say I was very impressed with it, at least not this one.  It was much smaller than I thought with only 5 aisles and not much of a selection.  Some things were priced really good like eggs, milk, and butter but it is too far for us to just run in to pick up a few things.  I guess it's back to Walmart for us.

Got the puzzle pieces all put out on the table and some of the edge done.  I think this puzzle will take more than a few days.
I've been working on those weave-it squares and the latest baby blanket is coming along nicely.  I'm just about have finished with it.
Enjoying reading my latest book too which is the third book in the Outlander series.

That's it for today.
A happy day to you.

Bummer that your Aldi isn't so nice! There's a new one here, and it's practically in my back yard, and it's waaaayyy too convenient! I have found a lot of good deals there on things like cereal, granola bars, cheese and such, but I can't bring myself to buy my meat there. I like to buy that fresh from a local grocer that isn't part of a chain.

I wish we had an Aldi near us. That puzzle looks like it will be a challenge. Have a good evening.

I'm glad it quit raining! That's an impressive puzzle.
I keep going to the closest grocery store. I wouldn't have to go far to visit another but I like it when I can find stuff!
Have a nice ice-creamy evening, K!

We are Walmart shoppers too. Around here they have the best prices! What a beautiful puzzle! Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
Glad you are enjoying the third Outlander book.
Have a good weekend!

That puzzle looks rather difficult.I'm guessing it will take a bit longer, but then you are a good puzzler.

What draws you to a puzzle? That one looks so challenging and not quite as "pretty." Forget everything I just wrote. I went looking and found a video of this work at You Tube I was so curious about it. I now know just what you see in it. I think you'll really enjoy doing it.

I heard many good things about Aldi, I was not impressed the only time I walked into one.

Hello, I heard the new TV's are great for the streaming. We shop at Walmart too, but a few things come from Wegmans. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!

It is those oak leaves that hang on that drive me crazy. :) Just when I get a section raked, more fall. I've never been in Aldi's. There is one in Raleigh. One of these days I'm going to stop...I just don't drive to Raleigh much anymore.

Aldi has also come to Australia. I'm not a fan - apart from the fact that the closest one is 100kms away. I am very much a shop local person... even if that means paying a higher price, keeping money local is really important for rural towns.

I remember in Utah seeing a mule deer buck walk up to a fence that was at least 6 feet high. There were domestic animals and feed inside of the big pen. He moved around a bit, tensing his muscles, and then jumped over it seemingly as easily as me stepping over a log. Impressive!
