Walking is the perfect way of moving if you want to see into the life of things. It is the one way of freedom. If you go to a place on anything but your own feet you are taken there too fast, and miss a thousand delicate joys that were waiting for you by the wayside. Elizabeth von Arnim

Walking : )

☂      ☂     ☂     ☂
Yesterday we spent a busy day at church from 9:00 in the morning until 8:30 at night doing Fingerprints.  We had two breaks, one for lunch and one for supper.  With it being a busy time of year there weren't a lot of people able to be there but we got over 8,000 Romans books in Spanish put together.  I was on the staple machines again which is my favorite part.  I used up one whole box of 5000 staples on my own, which came out to 2500 books I stapled together.

I didn't wake up until 7:00 yesterday so didn't have time for my walk before we had to leave.  And since I was sitting the whole day it was one of the lowest step days I've ever had, only 2,851.

BUT today I'm happy to say I walked 5.2 miles. : )  This morning the temperature was 40 degrees but it was windy, with some pretty strong gusts at times and a drizzly rain was falling.  Not complaining though, just nice to be out there walking again.

Walked one of my around town routes.  This is a small cemetery I pass by, it is across the street from where Lone Chicken used to live.  In the middle of the picture between the trees you can see one of the cemeteries I walk around and I'm on the way there when I took this picture.
Didn't see anyone else around today.  I walked a little later than usual because again I didn't wake up till 7:00.

This morning I had time to do a couple of things around the house and then it was 11:30 and time to leave for bowling.
Today there were 5 of us and we had lunch there and then bowled.  My scores today were in numerical order - 133, 134 and 135.

I finally got some time to start writing out my own Christmas cards (got all the ones to the prisoners done last week) this afternoon and wrote out about 3/4 of them.  I added a tract that was written by a 10 year old girl who is the daughter of one of the missionaries my church sponsors!  Thought she did a great job with it!
I've made dough for pizza and Ken is making the pizza now as I write this.  So off I go.
Haven't had time to visit blogs but hope to start getting caught up later this evening.
A happy day to you.

That is a low step day for you. Doesn't it make you so aware of what life without exercise can be like? So sloooooow. We have so much snow today that we can't walk outside. Sad.

A busy time of year for you and you still managed your long walk. 15 minutes is about all I can manage these days. I will let you be my inspiration.

I've tried making home-made pizza and it never comes out right, especially the cheese

Good for you walking and keeping up with your busy schedule. I think it's wonderful to use a tract written by a child. Have a blessed day.

Good morning, you sound very busy. It must feel good to help with the books. Lovely photo! The bowling sounds like fun and the pizza sound yummy. Happy Wednesday, enjoy your day!

I like the little umbrellas and clouds you worked into this post.
I'm thinking you couldn't get your bowling scores like that again if you tried. Pretty neat how that worked out.
The pizza sounds yummy.

Sounds like you had a lovely day.
That's nice that you could get outside and take in the fresh air and go for a nice long walk.

Wishing you and yours a very Merry and blessed Christmas!

Love the photo of the geese! Wow, you had a long day at church. It has been wonderful walking weather here too. I made a pizza last night for supper too!
Take care.
