Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself;
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today.
I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet.
I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.

Peace

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:
for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.
Psalm 4:8

The Lord will give strength unto his people;
the Lord will bless his people with peace.
Psalm 29:11

Great peace have they which love the law:
and nothing shall offend them.
Psalm 119:165

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:
not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
Let not your heart be troubled,
neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27

And the peace of God,
which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7

A blessed Sunday to you.
Jesus loves you.

  4. This reminds me of a statistic I heard awhile back. The United States has been around for well over 200 years but most of it's history we've been at war with something. We've apparently only had 21 years of peace.
