Giving Thanks Post Day 4
Hearing
How thankful I am that I'm able to hear.
People talking - first wrote down voices, but thought you might think they are voices only I can hear. : )
Laughter
Wind blowing through the trees
Rain on my umbrella
Corn blowing in the wind
Music
The rustling of leaves as I walk along
Birds
Children playing
The sound of my car when I let off on the gas - ooh that is a nice sound
Cows mooing
Horses neighing
Thunder
Coins dropping into my bank
Train whistles
Pastor Leatherman's sermons. : )
All these and many more.
What a blessing it is to hear.
May I never take it for granted.
happyone : )

What a lovely post. I pray a gratitude prayer every, well most, mornings. I have done it since I had breast cancer in 1999 and it really keeps things in perspective for me. But I have never gone into these details. You have inspired me.
One reason I'm really enjoying these posts is that you are mentioning some things we take for granted like our hearing. We should all be giving thanks for our hearing! Thank you for reminding us!
So many things to thank Him for.
You really are an insightful person and observant. Letting up on the gas...not a sound I have ever even been aware of. Prolly the difference between an Impala and your cute sports car!
Wonderful post, I have a few people in my family with hearing problems and I know they would love to be able to clearly hear every item you have listed above. Enjoy your day!
Beautiful post Karen! It is the little things in life we would miss the most.
You're certainly making me think!
Loving your thankful posts! So many times we go through our days at such a pace that we don't give ourselves time to realize how thankful we are able to be.
An excellent thing to be grateful for. My sweet friend is deaf, and I know that it presents so many challenges for her, on a daily basis. Not only am I blessed to be able to have my hearing, but blessed to not have all the challenges that come with hearing loss as well.

As our parents are beginning to lose their hearing as they age and it makes me even more thankful for my hearing.
I did pay attention to the sound of letting up on the gas the other day after reading this. Still pretty sure that your car sounds different from mine.
