A picture from my walk the other morning.

It was warmer than usual this morning at 60 degrees. I was putting my shoes on in the garage when I heard rain on the roof so I went back inside and put on my rain pants and grabbed the umbrella. Walked through town and saw lightning and heard a few claps of thunder and thought I'd better head back home. After a block the rain stopped so I kept walking. It rained on and off my whole walk and the sun was even out for a time. The weather kept changing every 5 minutes. A lot even for here. : )Walked all over town on no particular route. I made a stop at the post office to drop off a Netflix.
Looked up to see some geese flying overhead.
Happy Trails is up there on the mountain. Once the leaves fall you can see the roof of the Wood Shop. Took the picture from the cemetery by the Drane house. This morning I walked 5.5 miles.

While it wasn't raining out Ken dug up all the grasses and shrubs that we wanted out of the yard. I raked things out and filled the holes back up. Then we went up to HT and dumped it all in the woods. Glad to finally be rid of those. The people that lived here before us planted way too many plants and much too close together.I have 6 dining room chairs and I painted 4 of them black a year or so ago, maybe longer. The other two have been sitting in the garage waiting for me to paint them. Today I painted the first coat on one of them.
We went to dinner at a place called Casselman's over in Grantsville. It was a special dinner because we met one of my blogger friends, Dianna and her husband Carroll who live in the area. We had been talking about meeting in person for a while and though she no longer blogs we finally decided to meet. : ) They had been to Casselman's before but it was the first time for us.
As we pulled up to the restaurant in the car a couple was sitting on the porch, we looked at each other and smiled, knowing each other right away. : )
I've met other bloggers before and those of who have too, know that it is like meeting old an friend. We had a great time eating, talking and laughing. I'm sure this was the first time of many that we will get together and I look forward to the next time. : )

What a joy it was for us to meet you and Ken this evening, Karen! It truly was like meeting up with old friends. Never need to worry about what to talk about, yes? :) Looking forward to many more times together. (((hugs)))
I always hate having a metal umbrella during a thunderstorm. Makes me feel uneasy about it. My favorite is one made of wood and plastic.
Hello, what fun to meet another blogger friend. I am sure it was a nice dinner too. I have been away and trying to catch up on my blog reading. Have a happy weekend!
Great photos, Karen.
What a wonderful day for you and Dianna. You are so right about meeting blogger friends. When you meet in person it feels like you have already known them for a long time.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Looks like fall colors appearing. Nice to meet blogging friends--and we do learn a lot about each other through writing.
Fall is really coming in up your way. I am glad that you got to meet a blogger friend in person. I used to follow a lot of blogs but you are the only one of them still blogging!
